Positive: Beautiful location and quietly tucked away. Kitchen area was lovely, as was the outdoor space. Gorgeous having cups of tea on the decking in the sun!
Negative: Some rooms had cobwebs in the corners and lots of those gangly, thin spiders. Wasn’t overly an issue, but one crawled over my friend as she was getting ready to go to sleep! Normally, when we stay as a group in different areas of North Wales, we are greeted by a welcome basket. There wasn’t a welcome basket in Morannedd (which, again, isn’t really an issue, but would make the property stand out). We also had to provide soap for the bathrooms, which you would think would be a non-negotiable. The check out being 9am was far too early, especially when check in time was 5pm. It would have been better having check out at 10am. We used the BBQ on the Saturday and thoroughly read the instructions before doing so. The instructions stated that the bbq must be cleaned after use. When we came to use it, it was filthy - it definitely wasn’t cleaned prior to us using it. We had to clean it before our use as well as after.
Summary: Idyllic location just needs a few tweaks for perfection.
