In the centre of Melzow, the holiday apartment for up to 3 people, which was extended in 2020, is located on a residential and commercial property of approx. 800 square metres on the mezzanine floor of the owner's house. The landlord runs a small restaurant with a beer garden, smokes himself and bakes fresh bread rolls for his guests. Lake Melzow with its bathing jetty and playground is approx. 1,000 metres away, while a beautiful viewpoint and a variety of hiking and cycling trails are just under 500 metres away. The approx. 60 square metre non-smoking flat with separate entrance has a large living room (upholstered suite with sleeping function, flat-screen TV, tiled stove), a bedroom (double bed, guest bed, tiled stove), a large kitchen (electric cooker with oven, fridge with freezer), dining counter, various small kitchen appliances, radio), a bathroom (shower, WC) and a hallway.
Please note: The apartment can ONLY be heated by the guests themselves via the tiled stoves!
Parking spaces, a bicycle storage room, a barbecue, seating in the beer garden and free WLAN are also available. Final cleaning, electricity and water costs are included in the total price. Please bring your own bed linen and towels or hire them for a fee. To be paid on site: Laundry package (if required).
Melzow is a settlement in the Warnitz district of the municipality of Oberuckersee and is idyllically situated in one of the largest protected areas in Germany, in the Schorfheide-Chorin UNESCO biosphere reserve, on the edge of the Melzower Forst nature reserve. Extensive forests, meadows and moors as well as the hilly landscape characterised by the Ice Age with large and small lakes provide an undisturbed habitat for many endangered animal and plant species. The region is located halfway between Prenzlau, Templin and Angermünde and is just over an hour's drive from the capital Berlin, making it ideal for a varied holiday close to nature. In the village itself there is a beautiful viewpoint, the Wietblick, and a small lake with a bathing jetty and playground. The Oberuckersee lake is just 3 kilometres away and is ideal for swimming, canoeing, sailing, surfing and fishing. Cyclists can cycle all the way round it and there are several signposted circular routes through the Melzow Forest for hikers.
