They have been beautifully renovated retaining much of their original character with beams and both enjoy lovely views. Set in the middle of the owners working farm, these cottages offer a peaceful retreat for those looking to get away from it all. Surrounded by spectacular scenery this is an excellent spring board for either walking or touring the rugged fells and beautiful lakes. The exciting drive over Hardknott Pass with its breathtaking views is just 10 minutes’ drive away and it leads to Eskdale village and the Cumbrian west coast. The picturesque little towns and villages of Langdale, Ambleside and Broughton-in-Furness are an easy and scenic drive, with the interesting Lakeland towns of Kendal and Ulverston a little further afield. Beach 8 miles. Shop 1½ miles, pub 1 mile and restaurant 6 miles.
