After parking in the graveled parking area, you'll be welcomed by the sight of a fire pit, tire swing and beautiful open yard - perfect for tossing a football or taking Fido for a stroll :)
Take a couple of steps on to the front porch, and you'll see a couple of comfortable lounging chairs - perfect for enjoying your morning cup of coffee or glass of wine in the evening.
Once you enter through the front door, you'll be greeted with warm "Lookout Mountain Cabin" vibes and a theme of adventure, exploring and the nearby Little River Canyon National Preserve. With an open floor plan, you'll love that you're surrounded by cozy pine planked walls and thoughtfully detailed touches throughout this large suite.
In the living room, there is a comfy sofa that can be folded out to a queen sofa bed if there are 6 guests. There are books, board games, cards, and a 40" HD Roku TV. Fast Wi-Fi offers the opportunity for a fun family movie night after a day of hiking and adventures. A lamp with a USB charging station is in the workspace nook.
The kitchen is well-equipped with a deep, farmhouse-style stainless sink and stainless appliances, including a large side-by-side refrigerator/freezer and electric stove. A microwave sits above the sink. There are stainless pots and pans, stainless mixing bowls, casserole dishes, baking pans, toaster, spices, dishes, and eating utensils. The homeowners love to travel and have provided their guests with many extras they also love to find in vacation homes when traveling. There is a pub-style dining table for 4, and the workspace table and chairs can be used for additional dining space.
Inside the primary bedroom, you'll find a comfortable queen-size bed, closet and 32" HD Roku TV. A bedside lamp also has a USB charging station for convenience.
An additional bedroom in the suite offers a full bed to sleep two guests. Two beautiful Tamarack folding bamboo chairs add style and functionality as they are indoor/outdoor and offer additional seating inside, but perfect for taking outside on a beautiful day to read a book or enjoy the outdoors. Guests love the bedside table and the mountain design on the wall made from wooden pieces :)
There is a full bathroom between the bedrooms that includes a tub/shower combination, toilet and granite-top vanity with a glass bowl sink and waterfall faucet. There is also a laundry area with a washer and dryer, and guests will find an ironing board and iron inside the closet of the primary bedroom.
Next to the front porch, there is a charcoal grill available for guests to use. You can get charcoal, firewood and supplies for s'mores at the nearby Dollar General or Dollar Tree, and extendable marshmallow roasters are kept in a kitchen drawer for guests to use :)

So that you can experience life on the mountain like locals, we provide our guests with a list of all the attractions and restaurants! Chattanooga is only an hour away - Birmingham and Atlanta are less than 2 hours away!

This retreat property is dog-friendly (small to medium dogs only). If you wish to bring a dog, a pet fee of $69 applies per dog (2 dogs max).
