The Old Mill is a 13th century three-bedroom holiday home which features in the Domesday Book and used to be a watermill. The three-storey property is positioned alongside the River Yeo, in the outskirts of the North Devon market town of South Molton, and it showcases a hot tub, games room, children’s play area, three bathrooms and a large garden. This holiday home is the perfect base for a family of six or a group of friends to come and enjoy a relaxing break away. You enter via an entrance hall then through to the games room which has a pool table, comfortable seating, and a model replica of the historic working mill. This leads out into the large garden and undercover seating area which offers a great entertaining space whatever the weather, with a gas barbecue, fridge/ freezer, pizza oven and plenty of seating. The garden itself has a large lawn with a children’s play area and raised decking with a hot tub and table and chairs. On the first floor is the open plan kitchen/living and dining area which is furnished with comfortable seating, a Freeview Smart TV and electric wood burner. The kitchen is fully equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine and a washing machine, along with a dining area and an additional cloakroom. The second floor has three well-presented bedrooms, two of which have en-suite shower rooms and there is also a modern family bathroom.
South Molton is a traditional and thriving market town situated just off the A361 within easy reach of the M5 and only some 12 miles from the regional centre of Barnstaple and 19 miles from Tiverton. The town has a pretty main square, a twice-weekly market, a good range of shops, restaurants and pubs. Keen walkers should head to Exmoor National Park which is just a 20-minute drive away and the beautiful North Devon coastline is within a 30-minute drive. To the north is the beautiful sandy beaches at Combe Martin, Croyde and Woolacombe and a collection of pretty fishing villages and towns such as Clovelly, Lynton, Lynmouth and Porlock. To the south you have the dramatic red cliffs of Sidmouth, Beer and Branscombe with its pebbled beaches and Exmouth with its various water sports on offer. The Old Mill is the perfect base for guests wanting to escape to the Devonshire countryside.
