With a blend of traditional features, modern amenities and an enclosed patio area, lawn and hot tub, just the place to relax after a day exploring the region. The stylish, well equipped kitchen features a traditional Aga, as well as electric oven and all your usual appliances including a dishwasher. The living space is perfect for socialising and entertaining, with a separate dining room with large table. There is an extra toilet on the ground floor. The cosy living room is traditional in style with a wood burner for cooler evenings. On the first floor are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed, the second bedroom is light and airy with a double bed. The third bedroom is perfect for children, with bunk bed. There are fabulous views of Richmond castle from the bedroom windows. The family bathroom features a traditional free standing, roll-top bathtub with an overhead shower. Quirkily, the garden is situated on the first floor where there is a relaxing sun room, with comfy sofa the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or a glass of wine as the sun goes down. The sun room leads out onto the enclosed patio area with pretty garden space and a hot tub which is perfect for relaxing at the end of the day.
Perfectly situated just a short stroll from the cobbled market square, you could simply park up the car and enjoy all that Richmond has to offer on foot. There is an excellent choice of eating places, pubs and coffee shops. The famous Norman castle dominates the skyline, with circular walks around the riverbanks taking you past The Station, a bustling centre hosting art and craft exhibitions, a three-screen cinema, café, independent shops, a micro-brewery and an ice cream parlour. On the same site there is an indoor swimming pool and health club. Richmond, known as the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is well placed to visit Swaledale, Wensleydale and the North York Moors National Park. The Coast to Coast walk passes by The Station and through Swaledale, but there are also many other walks to be enjoyed. Nearby Reeth is a good starting point for walks and cycling. Visit the Wensleydale Creamery or Leyburn, a charming town with a Friday market in the main square, and nearby Middleham has a magnificent castle and is also well known for its horse racing stables. There are a number of waterfalls in the area, one just 5 minutes walk away from the cottage in Richmond, and further afield there is Hardraw Force near Hawes and pretty Aysgarth Falls.
