Ideally located for walkers or cyclists to join the Tarka Trail, a long distance path which offers wonderful scenery as well as welcome food stops and watering holes along the way. This idyllic holiday home is a cosy three bedroom lodge nestled in a peaceful and picturesque wooded valley. As you enter the property you will walk into the open plan kitchen/dining/living area. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a dishwasher and breakfast bar with two stools. There is a compact dining table and the living area has a sofa, armchairs, Smart TV and a wood burner. Leading off the living area are three bedrooms which are each furnished with a wardrobe and bedside tables with lamps. One bedroom has twin beds, the second has a standard double bed and the third has a kingsize bed. The family bathroom has a shower over the bath, and toilet.
If you fancy an afternoon at the beach, sandy Westward Ho! is just a 25-minute drive away and both Dartmoor and Exmoor are within easy reach. Just up the road in Torrington, attractions include the excellent Plough Arts Centre for interesting movies, 1646 Visitor Attraction and Dartington Crystal. Watch skilled craftsmen at work and learn about the history of Dartington Crystal before indulging in some discount retail therapy in their extensive factory shop experience. RHS Rosemoor Gardens are just a few minutes walk away from the property, blending formal and informal plantings to magical effect, and has lots of events and shows planned throughout the year.
