This 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath home sits right on Old Hickory Lake, and offers all the character of a cabin with upscale amenities. A deluxe interior with luxury appointments and tasteful furnishings has just a hint of rustic flair. While outside, you’ll enjoy a sprawling lakeside yard! Enjoy use of the entire shoreline on Old Hickory Lake (Public Land). Our section is located at the end of the cove in some shallow water, approximately 2 feet deep. A pedal boat and 2 person kayak are available for guests to take a turn around the lake.
Relax in sumptuous bedrooms and living spaces or in a hot tub under the stars. A hammock strung between two tall trees at the edge of the lake is the perfect place to catch your breath when you’re done exploring the area, and a stone patio with a propane grill lets you gather for moonlit meals. And that’s all before you even step foot off the property. Fill your days with trips to nearby scenic parks and historic sights or make the short trip into downtown Nashville for a cowboys-and-cocktails kind of night.
Note to our Guests: Check in time of 2 pm can be flexible! Check out time of 10 am can be flexible! These times were established to allow us a 4 hour window to prepare the home between guests. However, if we don’t have a booking before or after you... we can be flexible... just ask!
INSIDE THE HOUSE
Warm up around an enormous stone fireplace in a stylish and refined living room where a large sectional couch arranged around a 70 inch flat-screen TV. Here, French doors open onto the back deck and vast backyard, and afford views of the lake.
A designer kitchen features quartz countertops and a suite of stainless steel appliances. Adjacent, the upscale dining area, where tall windows overlook a pleasant streetscape, seats 6 around a quality wooden table under a chandelier - and includes seating for 2 more with barstools at the kitchen counter.
Two bedrooms, one with access to a private porch, feature king-sized beds set on an all-wooden frames. The third bedroom, with double full sized bunk beds and tall windows, provides cheery accommodations for close friends. Two full baths upstairs have tile flooring and spacious vanities while an added half-bath with adjacent laundry facilities provides extra convenience downstairs.
THE LOCATION
Just outside of Music City, this .53 acre sprawling lakefront property offers easy access to outdoor adventures and exciting dining and nightlife. Just outside your back door, the scenic Old Hickory Lake can be traversed by stand up paddleboard, canoe, kayak, jet ski or pontoon. Nearby, you can take a stroll down the wandering creekside trails or catch fireflies at Drakes Creek Park. Avondale Recreational Access Area has a free and public boat ramp, and is a brief 1/4 mile drive from the home.
Head to the Trinity Music Center, just 2.5 miles away, to wander past streams and waterfalls to the Memorial Gardens where Johnny Cash and June Carter have been laid to rest. Visit Conway Twitty’s Mansion or, if it’s the season, experience a mind-blowing display of Christmas cheer at the annual light show, before grabbing a savory steak at The Chop House or laidback Mediterranean cuisine at Café Rakka.
Enjoy great food and lively music at Anchor High Marina or take the 20-minute drive to downtown Nashville and Music Row – destinations that hardly need an introduction. Catch your favorite artists at honky tonk bars or five-star venues or learn more about the legends at the Country Music Hall of Fame. No trip to Nashville would be complete without a visit to the Grand Ole Opry and Opryland, which are only 25 minutes away.

The home will sleep 8 comfortably, but keep in mind that is providing for 4 in the full sized bunk beds. There’s a sectional in the living room. While we don’t advertise or promote this for sleeping... maybe kids or young adults might find it comfy. There’s also a twin cot with inflatable mattress stored in the garage. Last but not least... there’s a queen inflatable mattress also stored in the garage. Plenty of extra sheets and pillows are in the home.
Dogs are almost always welcome. However, full disclosure is required. This is basically to allow us the opportunity to explain your responsibilities related to bringing your pups into the home. We accept a maximum of 2 pets. You may still instant book, but disclose your dog(s) and expect us to layout a few basic and very reasonable rules.
Our Lakehouse rental comes with many amenities such as: Hot Tub, Fire Pit, Pedal Boat, Canoe, TreeDeck with ladder, etc. While these are all in place for guest enjoyment, there are certain inherent risks which come with using such amenities. Please keep children under close supervision and understand that your willingness to rent this home binds you to use these things at your own risk.
