We can help you plan everything for your trip, including: transportation (rental cars, private shuttles, private helicopter or airplane transportation), the area’s best tours, private chef and dinner reservations.
Osa Property Management will also be available from 8 am - 5 pm. Messages sent after 5 pm will be addressed the following morning starting at 8 am. The home and digital guidebook have all of the emergency phone numbers and information needed in the event of an emergency.
This home is located in Ojochal, Costa Rica.
Ojochal is home to several beaches (Playa Tortuga, Playa Ventanas), restaurants. grocery stores, a pharmacy, a turtle and animal reserve and even a library.
Playa Tortuga is a very common beach and has a south and a north entrance. Reserva Playa Tortuga is located en route to the south entrance of the beach, and is a volunteer organization that protects, tracks and studies turtles, caymans and birds in the area. Be sure to drop by Reserva Playa Tortuga when visiting Playa Tortuga (beach)
Ojochal is known throughout Costa Rica as home to some of the country's best restaurants, including Citrus, Exotica and Fusion. In addition, to fine dining there is live music most evenings at Los Gatos Locos (the crazy cats), fine baked items at The French Bakery and more there are simple, authentic Costa Rica restaurants with their rice and beans, casadas and fruit juices.
Tennis and Pickleball courts are available in Ojochal approximately 15 minutes away. Our full-time Concierge Team can assist Guests in securing court time. There is a fee for the court time.
Guests will be escorted by a representative of Costa Rica Las Villas/Osa Property Management for check-in.
NOTE: Check-in must be completed by 8:00 pm. For check-ins between 8 pm and 10 pm there is a $50 fee and approval must be made at least 48 hours in advance. No check-ins or arrivals after 10 pm. For security and safety reasons, we cannot leave keys outside a property for pick up later. Osa Property Management reserves the right to not grant access if guests are arriving after 8 pm.
The home is 100% private - there are no shared spaces (except for the monkeys, toucans and other amazing Costa Rica wildlife).
Pak-n'Play or Baby Travel Bed can be rented for an additional $50 USD (plus VAT) fee and must be requested at least 48 hours in advance
A 4x4 vehicle is required to access the property. Smaller automobiles will not make it to the home.
Ojochal does not have UBER and private taxis are not always available.

GETTING THERE FROM SJO AIRPORT
RENT A CAR - The drive time from San Jose is only about 3.5 hours.
FLY FROM SAN JOSE TO PALMAR SUR or QUEPOS - The fastest way to get to Ojochal from San Jose international airport is to take a small plane on one of the local carriers,. They leave directly from SJO domestic terminal and land in Palmar Sur and Quepos. Palmar Sur is about 30 minutes from Ojochal and Quepos is about an hour from Ojochal. Prices range from $85 if booked in advance to upwards of $150 depending on the season. These flights are fast and a fun way to see the country since they fly at a lower altitude.
