Summary: I grew up on NW 14th St on Oak Island. I have been back visiting family in order to help grieve a lost family member, and needed a separate space for a few days. Given that I could stay with family for free, I wanted something that was reasonably priced but still felt like luxury, and this spot is it. Only a half mile walk to the beach, and I used to walk a mile growing up on 14th. The only downside is crossing Oak Island Dr. but it’s not even that busy all the time, and often drivers will stop for pedestrians even without a crosswalk. The location of the rental is right off yacht drive, so you can dodge the traffic and drive along the backside of the island to either bridges to get into town. The owners thought of everything, and never once did I feel like I was attached to another persons home. It felt like my own private dwelling on the beach. Thanks!!
