A ‘Hawksburn Village’ Hideaway | House in Prahran
1 Bedroom House in Prahran
Our place is a peaceful escape on the edge of Hawksburn Village. Soaked in northern sunshine, our two bedroom townhouse packs in everything you need in a contemporary setting, including open plan living and dining warmed with a gas fireplace, a glorious sun filled alfresco courtyard with BBQ and garden lighting, and a garage for parking.
Our place is positioned in the back corner of two (with two other townhouses facing Spring Street) so you have the ultimate in privacy and comfort. Whisper quiet and enjoying the sunshine, you’ll love how much it feels like home inside. Warm with Tasmanian Oak floorboards and plantation shutters, the ground floor enjoys a north facing open plan living and dining area with an extendable 6-seater dining table (8 chairs) and beautifully soft 2.5-seater and 2 seater couches in front of the gas fireplace and 55inch Hisense smart television with Bose sound system and DVD player. The kitchen oversees the living space, while having its own sense of independence with a useful 20 inch television to keep you up to date with the world while you’re preparing breakfast or the evening meal, while also featuring Miele cooking appliances and happily stocked cupboards to ensure you have everything they need. A large powder room and access into the auto garage complete this floor. French doors lead to the fabulous entertaining courtyard with its water feature made from a bespoke timber feature panel made from a timber pylon from Sydney Harbour, night-time fun with the garden lighting and a mains gas barbecue with bar fridge. If peace and relaxation is more on your mind, the courtyard is the best place to soak up some Vitamin D, enjoy a quiet lunch in the fresh air or simply sitting back and reading a book. Upstairs is home to the bedrooms including a generous main bedroom with queen bed, ample built in robe storage and a clothesline balcony. The 2nd bedroom is extra spacious with its king single bed, comfortable queen size fold out sofa and a desk set up, so you can work remotely. The bathroom has a frameless glass shower, a lovely bath to soak away the day and a stylish vanity; while a 2nd powder room and a fully equipped laundry with washing machine, dryer, trough and storage drawers, creates an optional kitchenette upstairs, saving you from using the stairs if required.
Prahran has an eclectic groove of urban creativity, historic charm and bespoke beauty. Renowned for its shopping along popular Chapel Street, cocktails and wine in vibrant Greville Street, the daily ‘oysters and fizz’ at the Mt Erica Hotel or the more boutique Hawksburn Village, Prahran has a warm friendly vibe like no other in the City of Stonnington. A 5-minute drive to Alfred Hospital (or via the 72 tram), or an 8-minute drive to Cabrini Malvern (or via the 6 tram), it’s the perfect place to stay if you’re looking after a loved one or if you have a short-term residency. Hawksburn Village will be where you will be able to buy your essentials at the Woolies supermarket, enjoy some of Prahran’s best coffee at a host of cafes, bakeries and restaurants, the Blanc Spa day spa for a personal indulgence, or a spot of homeware shopping.
