Lixouri is based on the Palliki Peninsula and has some stunning beaches, including Xi beach, Kounopetra, Vatsa and Petani beach, its a beach lovers paradise. Quieter than the main part of Kefalonia, Lixouri is green open fields, olive groves and grape vines so kick off your shoes and slow down to the Greek pace of life. At the villa, the private swimming pool and terrace have a lawned area at the front of the two storey villa so plenty of room to relax, and the interior of the villa is a minimalist haven with simple polished concrete walls and floors, and a pared back ambience all the better to wind down. Lixouri is a green region in the west of Kefalonia, and can be reached either by car or the local ferry that takes 30 minutes from Argostoli port to Lixouri Port, a pretty village with marina front tavernas, a couple of piazzas offering a further choice of restaurants and is about a 15 minute drive from the Kymata Villas. Another famous beach is Xi beach with powdery red sand a 5 minute drive away and the nearest taverna is a 10 minute drive away while the mini markets are found in Lixouri Port.
