Nestled in one of Key West's original gated "mini-compounds," the Tropical Tradition vacation rental is a spacious 1990's three-story Key West town home providing an island living experience in a traditional tropical style - both inside and out. A lush tropical garden complete with large 40' X 16' swimming pool is the main focus of this unique island setting, and this traditional Key West town-home home is situated at the "pool-side" of the garden.
The main entrance to this home leads from the front porch to the living room / dining and open U-shaped kitchen which makes meal preparation and entertaining relaxed and fun. French doors and multiple sets of sash windows fill the room with light and high ceilings provide a spacious feeling. Casual Florida style furnishings blend nicely with the light hard wood floors. The first floor also offers the convenience of a powder room (sink and commode) and a door beneath the stairwell conveniently hides the washer / dryer. A traditional banister wooden staircase leads from the living room to the second floor where you find one bedroom with a queen size bed, a full bathroom, and a sitting room that opens to a covered porch through French doors. The porch has a beautiful down-look view of the swimming pool and garden. The staircase continues from the sitting room to the third floor which provides two more bedrooms and a full bathroom.
The floor plan on the third level has the bedrooms on opposite sides with a shared full bath in between. One bedroom offers a queen size bed and the other has 2 twin beds. The second level has one bedroom offering a queen size bed, and opposite the bedroom is a den with balcony overlooking the pool. All bedrooms have nice views of either the pool or a garden area below. Bedroom furnishings carry the traditional Florida tropical wicker and bent bamboo theme established on the first floor. This property is offered as an exclusive vacation rental in Old Town Key West.
The property will not tolerate smoking inside. The property is located in a private residential compound and is definitely not suitable for staging loud parties.

Area: This town home is ideally located in the White Street Gallery District of Old Town Key West in a historic residential neighborhood just a few streets from White Street and Higgs Beach. From this location you can quickly walk to Fausto's Fine Food Palace (fine wine, cheeses, and gourmet foods), Sandy's Cafe of Cuban coffee, numerous art galleries (White Street Gallery area), and yoga and exercise studios. Duval Street shops, attractions, and the Historic Seaport District is a ten minute walk.
Restrictions: Smoke free house. Sleeps six (6) maximum guests. No pets (please don't ask.) We do not accept guests less than 25 years of age unless accompanied by a family group or guardian.
