Welcome to Wheelhouse, a classic New Mexican adobe, located on an acre, walking distance to the charming village of Arroyo Seco! We are nestled approximately 15 minutes to both Taos Ski Valley and Taos plaza. In the winter, you’ll enjoy taking in the unobstructed mountain views from the master bedroom and tending to the fire in the living room kiva. In the summer, take in the quiet solitude of the back garden, perfect for summer lounging in the hammocks. Short drive to hikes and hot springs!
The Space
While a maximum of four guests is desirable, there are several bedding options. The master includes a king size bed, the second bedroom has bunk beds, and the den has a sleeper couch that can be used as a single or double. Please note the bathroom is ideal for soaking in the tub. In true adobe fashion, the bathroom ceiling slants. Those above 5' 7" will have to bend at the knee a bit to fit while showering.
Guest Access
Take advantage of the property! Stroll around the gardens, enjoy the cherries from the vineyard, or just chill in one of the hammocks. We do allow pets. Closing the front wooden gate will allow your pet to roam around the front and side yards. Please note, we have enclosed the property with a fence but gaps have been known to appear! You will want to keep an eye on your pets, if they are prone to escaping! Best to do a walkabout around the yard before letting them off leash.
Other Things to Note
We do have a smart TV located in the den. Feel free to login to your Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, or your personal cable accounts to access. The shelving next to the fridge is ideal for keeping food up high and out of reach of little country critters. Otherwise, the fridge will do!
