"Indian Creek Cottage" provides guests with 1,800 square feet of refuge from the hustle and bustle of everyday living. Situated on a peaceful, large deep-water cove, the house is decorated with wonderful antiques that lend a flavor of old-world charm to modern updates and well-equipped conveniences. Imagine waking up in a four-poster bed, sipping coffee on the large front porch while watching egrets, enjoying water activities off the dock, and then dining while watching the sun set the sky ablaze. After all the day's activities are just a memory, sit back and reminisce over a fine glass of wine. Then repeat. Lake Murray living is as good as it gets!
The house features three bedrooms, two with a queen and one with a double bed, 2.5 baths, and a large screened front porch with dining and lounging areas, and views everywhere!
The fully equipped private kitchen comes with all the cooking basics, crock pot, multiple pots/pans/skillets, bake ware, drip coffee maker, tea kettle, etc.
Enjoy your meals indoors, on the screened porch, or outside at one of the two picnic tables, where there's a gas grill for barbeques.
There's a 50-inch Smart Roku TV in the living room. Plan to bring your log-in information for your preferred streaming platforms. Grab a book and snuggle up in one of the leather chairs or porch rockers, or pull out a board game from the secretary drawers and challenge your fellow guests.
The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed, and a private bath with tub.
Upstairs, there are two additional bedrooms each with a four-poster bed (one queen and one double) and a jack-and-jill bath (with shower) connecting both.
Launch your own boat, jet ski, kayak or other water toys from the private ramp, where sailing, skiing, tubing is all allowed, or rent them from one of the nearby marinas. And the private floating dock with ladder is perfect for fishing and swimming.
Spend your entire vacation exploring all Lake Murray has to offer - Dreher Island State Park, Bomb Island where the purple martins put on their evening show during the summer, Bear Creek for watersports, Timberlake golf course, or one of the lakeside restaurants and bars.
Or hop in the car and visit the neighboring towns of Irmo (11 miles - where you'll find Columbiana Shopping Mall), Lexington (22 miles), Prosperity (16 miles), Newberry (24 miles - recently voted one of the 50 most charming small towns in America by the Travel Channel), Columbia (22 miles - state capital, home of University of South Carolina and Fort Jackson) and Greenville (89 miles).
The Columbia Metropolitan Airport is only 23 miles away.
With one of the best locations on Lake Murray, access to restaurants, grocery stores, hardware stores and other shopping is just 10 minutes away in the town of Chapin.

A car is recommended for transportation to and from this property.
Guest must be 28 years of age to book, and the person booking the property must be the person staying at the property.
Boat rentals and fishing guides are available in the area.
Guests may tie their boat off at the dock at their own risk.
All guests swim at their own risk and are responsible for providing their own flotation devices.
Please NOTE: The lake water level is regulated by Dominion Energy and is at its highest levels during the months of March through October each year.
Regular pest treatments are done both inside and out, but it is very easy for pests to slip into the house if doors or windows are left open.
DURING YOUR STAY:
The home is at the end of a dead-end street and very quiet.
Neighbors are permanent residents so please be respectful.
The home is not designed to be an event venue, so no parties, events, or large gatherings are allowed. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Quiet hours are from10 pm to 8 am.
Any evidence of smoking will result in a $500 fine.
If the Sheriff is called to come out for any disturbance, renters will be required to leave immediately and will forfeit reminder of rent and deposit.
Parking available for up to 3 cars in the driveway. No parking in the street as it is narrow. Parking for boat trailer is available in front of detached garage.
There are two active outdoor security cameras installed, on the front of the home and one on the back overlooking the dock and backyard.
Detached garage is not available or part of the rental.
