We completely clean, disinfect and sanitize the entire house after each guest for your safety using CDC recommended cleaners and following the cleaning protocol as set out for vacation rentals (a copy is on site). We use approved non-toxic cleaners, disinfectant and sanitation products.
Beautiful 3 bedroom 1-1/2 bath home located directly on the gorgeous St. John’s River on 1.31 lush acres with 149 feet of direct water access, private dock AND floating dock (bring your boat!) for your canoe or kayak and enjoy the majestic Sunrise and Sunsets unique to this area. The home is located on Carman Cove just north of US 17 off the St. John’s main waterway. The house sits in the prestigious Bluffs section which is considered the highest elevation above the river. Fish your heart out on our dock or down the river in your boat. If staying with us during shrimp season catch up to 50 pounds an hour right off the dock. There is a public dock just on the other side of the bridge and second off River Road. Canoes and paddles are available for your enjoyment. Use at your own risk.
This cozy home consists of approximately 1,300 square feet plus a very large screened in porch with direct dock access. Enjoy your morning coffee or tea here and watch the sunrise and listen to the birds chirping and fish jumping on this quiet secluded area of the cove or in the panoramic glass sunroom with 180 degree views of the river. After breakfast move outside to the large patio to relax, soak up the sun, read your book until it’s time to cook your catch on the gas BBQ grill while the family enjoys the evening s’mores around the fire pit after dinner. Move inside after dinner to relax to a movie (either on your own account or using our video library) on one of the 2 large flat screen TVs. Or try your hand playing cards or on the many board games located in the video library hutch.
Master queen size bedroom with half bath en-suite and sunset view. Bedroom 2 consists of a king size Sleep Number M7 bed with stunning sunrise and sunset views. Bedroom 3 consists of a Queen size pillow top bed, also with sunrise and sunset views. All bedrooms have large double door closets with above storage for all your personal items. In addition in the hallway there is a linen closet and large coat closet for additional storage. Feel free to close off all 3 bedrooms from the main houses for added privacy. All bedrooms recently renovated.
Wake up, make your coffee and cook breakfast in our fully stocked kitchen on our gourmet gas stove. Admire the custom birch cabinets original to when the house was built. All appliances such as coffee maker, blender (drinks and smoothies), microwave, dishwasher, instapot, cookware, dish ware, utensils, coffee cups/glasses/beer mugs, full size side by side refrigerator. Countertop height Breakfast bar seats 2, perfect for kids or a couple. An array of coffee, tea, sweeteners, cream, spices and staples are supplied.
Walk through one set of French doors to relax on the screened in patio, or through the second set of French doors to relax in the Glass Sunroom or living room and watch the kids swim, fish from the dock, ski or enjoy their watercraft while you relax in the air conditioning. Large dining room table seats up to 10.
All rooms have high quality ceiling fans with remotes. Kitchen has new recessed lighting; dining/bonus room has a double Hunter ceiling fan (really cool). Glass Sunroom boasts of 3 sides of panoramic views of bluffs and river, tongue and groove ceiling, for a cozy feel, with 2 outside access doors. Entire house has impact hurricane rated doors and windows and metal roof (all recently renovated).
1.31 acres of large majestic 200 year old oaks with Spanish Moss, Azealea Bushes, Pecan Trees, various citrus and plenty of room to roam. Eagle Nest in next door neighbors yard. Photography buffs zoom in and take pictures of the eagles, hawks, sand hill cranes, ospreys, manatees and many fish that roam about. Put up the Volleyball net or play soccer and get your best game going on vacation. Lots of yard for the kids to play and roam about. Close to dusk you can see the river otter in the grasses by the dock.
Room for 2 RV/Campers (water and 50 amp service) (no sewer hookup but we do have a dump location), boat trailer, ATVs, SUVs and cars in a quiet and secure secluded neighborhood. No garage but there is a 2 car carport, mud room and laundry room. Stacked washer and gas dryer, ironing board and iron, and bonus mud room to store your paddle boards and water sport equipment. Gas BBQ grill and fire pit.
Close to restaurants and shopping. Less than 25 minutes to Crescent, Lake George, Ocala National Forest, Rodman Dam, Welaka Forest, 45 minutes to St. Augustine, Daytona Beach and 1 hour to Jacksonville and Gainesville. 2 hours to Orlando theme parks.
Enjoy world class golfing in Palatka, hiking the Ravine Gardens or enjoying the many murals in downtown Palatka as well as the new boat ramp and playground with riverside bbq areas.
