Summary: I have been to Santiago a few times and always stay in hotels. I would recommend the Aparta hotel to everyone traveling to this area. It has reasonably priced rooms, clean, good breakfast which is always on time, good customer service, taxi to and from the airport so let them know if this service is needed. There is also a nice Italian restaurant nextdoor. The Hospital is in walking distance. I didn't see a police station but the area is quite save. I went to stay for 7 days but when I realized I had to extend I didn't hesitate to extend my stay at Aparta. Lets support Aparta Hotel
