Best beach in the valley! Beautiful Akiskinook beach Resort, newly renovated condo, hot tub, tennis, private swimming beach, boat moorage, the list goes on! Best family Resort in the valley situated on twenty acres of forested land and lakefront. Wood burning fireplace, private patio, barbeque. Fully equipped suite, Insuite washer /dryer for the popsicle stains. :) It has all the dishes, towels, bedding you will ever need for 2-3 people. One bedroom with queen and one den with double bed, this den has no window. We have a smart tv with internet only. Please sign in with your Netflix account. The condo is midway between the beach and the main entrance. There's a playground on site, tennis courts, and a great private beach, boat moorage rental, change room and bathroom on the beach. The resort is 10 min from the main town of Invermere.
This resort is great for small families and couples of all ages. NOT great for young people who want to have parties. No dogs allowed, no smoking. The kids will love running and biking all over the resort, you will meet our great neighbours while sipping on a bevy on the deck and the kids will make lots of new friends! Huge grassy spot out front for playing games and badminton. We have spent endless hours watching the kids have fun!Things to note you are a main floor unit and may get a few pests like ants or weevils this is to be expected in a forest setting like we have if this freaks you out do not book this unit stay in the city.
Perfect year round family vacation destination. Akiskinook Resort offers tennis courts, games room and playgrounds. Private Beach and marina is a short stroll from your front door. Boat moorage availible.Convenience store with all the nessesities is only a five minute walk. The quant little town of Invermere is only a five minute drive. Invermere offers a host of unique shops and restaraunts nestled in a Bavarian/European influenced setting.
My favorite stop on a Saturday morning is the Main Street Bakery that serves up fresh coffee, breads and cinimon rolls that are baked in their wood fired brick oven. For the Ski Lovers in the Family there is two choices only 20 minutes away. World Class Panorama Ski Resort (Same people who developed Whistler BC) offers breath taking views and ski terrain and Fairmont Ski Hill offers affordable family skiing. For the Golfers in the family the Invermere Valley hosts some of the best rated courses in BC! (Grey Wolf, Radium Springs)
After a day on the slopes or hitting the greens you can indulge yourself at either Fairmont Hot Springs or Radium Hot Springs. These two World Renowned natural, mineral hot springs/spas are open year round are the perfect way to relax and rejuvinate yourself. For those looking for more adventure I can tell you how to hike in to some completely natural Hot Springs bubbling out of the side of a Mountain at 104 Degrees.
The Valley area also includes numerous amusement parks for kids, including miniature golf, horseback riding, and river rafting.
