The Space:
This authentic 2BR/1BA beach cottage is in a gorgeous and coveted location on Brownes Beach at Carlisle Bay! The Garden House is truly all about location and it’s next door to Barbados Yacht Club. It’s also one of the authentically traditional cottages in this beachside village within the Garrison Historic Area--a UNESCO designated World Heritage Site. Here you can vacation like a local, sans shoes, with the beach as your actual backyard!
The downstairs Garden House beachside cottage unit features:
- A spacious open living & dining room area providing space to move about.
- A dining area with a dining table to seat 6 comfortably for eating meals at home.
- A fully-equipped kitchen with oven & stove, microwave, coffee maker, and all you’d need to whip up a home-cooked meal. There’s even a gas BBQ grill for use for grill nights! You can buy fish and lobster right from the fisherman as he pulls his boat up each Sunday morning just in front of the cottage! It’s an incredibly authentic Barbados experience.
- A large upper terrace area with a table and chairs to enjoy your morning coffee or sunset cocktail w/ the Barbados bay breeze.
- 2 bedrooms, with a double bed each, plus a rollaway twin bed upon request if needed and one full bathroom in the unit
- A path leading from the cottage directly to the beach just steps away!
- Free parking space outside the cottage
In the event you need to quarantine according to the local laws please note this unit is NOT registered as a quarantine accommodation. You will need to make your own arrangements with a quarantine-approved hotel (which is usually a one night stay) and then come to stay with us when cleared. Guest Access:
You’ll have full, exclusive access to the downstairs unit of the Garden House cottage during your stay.
The Neighborhood:
Situated in a prime spot on Brownes Beach in Carlisle Bay, this unique cottage provides all the basic necessities and puts you right on one of the most gorgeous beaches you’ve ever seen!
- Enjoy a long stroll along the beaches of Carlisle Bay. You can walk on the beach all the way into Bridgetown if you’d like.
- The tranquil sea conditions on the west coast make it perfect for water activity. There’s a dive preserve just in front of the cottage with 4 shipwrecks to snorkel around! And you’ll see plenty of colorful fish and likely a sea turtle or two as well.
- Catamaran cruises and deep sea fishing charters can be booked daily also; picked up and dropped off at the beach cottage door!
- A short walk away to shops, supermarkets to a wide variety of excellent restaurants with cuisine ranging from local & Caribbean to Italian
- Walk the beach and find beach huts like Cuzz’s Fish stand and other beachfront dining options for a sunset end to your day!
Getting Around:
We highly suggest bringing a car to truly enjoy the scenes and sights of this beautiful island. There is free parking space outside the apartment that you can use.
Other Things to Note:
The 975 sq. ft. downstairs part of the cottage has 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom with space to accommodate 4 guests.
Wi-Fi, Satellite TV, a parking space, bed linens, beach chairs, beach and bath towels are provided free during your stay.
There is no daily housekeeping service but should you require a cleaning one can be arranged at an additional charge of $40 USD.
Guests will be requested to sign a Rental Agreement upon booking confirmation.
A security deposit may be required prior to arrival or at check-in subject to the booking platform used to make the reservation. This fee is charged as a credit card transaction and refunded after check-out, provided all terms are met.
Please note we do supply some home and bath essentials complimentary upon arrival like soap, toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, paper towel roll, and some cleaning products. However, please note, unlike hotel service, these items are not replenished. If you use them up and need more, you’ll need to purchase more.
Electricity fees: for long term-stays only (+28 nights) $0.30 USD per KWH.

We are not able to offer any refund outside the cancellation policy in place at the time of your booking if your travel plans are affected by Covid.
HOUSE RULES
- Travelers must be at least 21 years of age or older to book.
- No smoking of any kind is allowed on the premises. Smoking tobacco, cannabis or the use of any recreational drugs in the house is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply will incur a $300 penalty.
- No parties or events are permitted, illegal activity is prohibited and excessive noise won't be tolerated. No loud music is allowed after 10 pm. Please be respectful of the neighbors.
- No more guests than those listed in your reservation are allowed. No tent or other structures may be set up on the ground of the property.
- Renters agree to cover any charge related to damages that occurred during their stay or cover necessary extra-cleaning charges if such is needed after their stay.
- Renters may be required to provide a government ID on the day of check-in or during their stay.
- Please avoid moving furniture
- Pets are not allowed.
Interaction with Guests:
At check in, the owner will be there to greet you and provide you with the key. From then on, you can come in and out using the lockbox to leave and retrieve the keys. There’s a code to access the gate and the community. Codes are always sent within 24 hours of your arrival.
You’ll have complete privacy during your stay, but we’re available 7 days a week from 8 am until midnight, should you need anything - just write us a message here. One of our team members will answer you promptly!
