Welcome to our dog friendly holiday cottage on Holy Island of Lindisfarne. Britannia Cottage is situated right in the centre of Holy Island and dates back to the early 1800's.
It provides a great base for exploring the heritage of Lindisfarne and the surrounding Northumberland coastline with its wonderful unspoilt beaches, walks, castles and wildlife.
Enjoy a crab sandwich at one of the Island’s Inns, watch the sunset over the causeway, or listen to the seals singing!
The cottage has free high speed fibre wifi, a cosy log fire, is spacious, comfortable and offers a real home from home. Open all year round with short breaks now available all year for 2025. Check in and out days are Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays only for 3, 4 or 7 nights.
The kitchen has been refurbished in 2025 and includes induction hob, fan oven/grill, fridge & freezer, washer/dryer. The large double bedroom has an en-suite shower room and there is a downstairs bathroom with bath and shower over. The twin room can also be arranged as a second king size double on request.
We provide one bag of logs for the fire. It is right in the heart of the village. There is a small rear yard which is a sheltered sun trap in summer. On the island you will find plenty to explore: the castle (National Trust),; The Priory (English Heritage); St Mary's Church as well as scenic coastal walks and endless changing views.
