Our house is only one block away from Napoleon and 3 blocks to St. Charles. The best location for families with small children.
Touro Bouligny is a safe and quiet upscale neighborhood that is between the Garden District and Audubon Park and the Universities. We are only a few blocks away from the best neighborhood restaurants in the city, Upperline, Clancys, Commanders Palace, Shaya, and all types of boutiques and coffee houses. You do not need a car, I strongly suggest that you walk to all of these places and enjoy the neighborhood.
Our historic Greek Revival house is a perfect example of Southern living “Columns, porticoes, and porches were practical features that met the need for shade and were provisions that let leisure be taken and conversation enjoyed as a natural part of living. In Louisiana, where galleried houses were an entrenched tradition, the Greek colonnade became an easy graft.”
The house was constructed in 1913, it's a two-story house with
a double parlor in the front and a large porch in the back, exposed brick chimney and full of natural light. Original wood flooring throughout, marble floors bathrooms, large living room, updated kitchen appliances.
