About this space
This warm and welcoming home is perfect for families with its great open concept and beautiful surroundings. Enjoy the enormous back deck at dusk for a spectacular sunset, or the front porch every morning enjoying your coffee. Walk miles of trails, and visit our mini farm, where we have a petting zoo of goats, mini horses, chickens and even a tortoise. (An appointment is necessary to visit the mini farm).
Don't forget to visit our beautiful historic downtown.
The space
We supply just about everything you need for a great stay, including a pack and play, a dog crate, corn hole, games, streaming and WIFI. Our kitchen is fully stocked with everything you have at home, even an Air Fryer, and Crock Pot. We have a drip coffee maker as well as a French press.
Our family room has a pull-out sofa, a fireplace and sliding doors to our screened in porch where you can relax and watch beautiful sunsets (hence the name).
We are about 15 minutes from downtown Aiken, where you will find unique shops and fabulous restaurants and about 15-20 minutes from Whisky Road, where you will find big box stores like Walmart, Publix, Target, Home Depot, Cracker Barrel, CVS, etc. There is also a Starbucks on Whisky Road. Check Yelp, for reviews and more options for shopping and dining. (We also leave some recommendations in our welcome pamphlet).
To visit the petting zoo, you must make an appointment with us. The hours to visit are usually early morning during our feeding time between 7:30am-8:30am. (Closed shoes are required, and your dog must be on a leash). Please note that the petting zoo in on our personal property and we would appreciate it if you only come by when you have your appointment and at no other time. We have a pond and a pool, and it is a safety issues as well as a privacy one. Thank you for understanding.
You can also walk our trails and visit our horses and cows next door on either side.... (No appointment needed to visit them, just don't feed too many treats). Caution, the cows have an electric fence so stay back or get a zap.
We also have a small barn on the property where we occasionally have one or two of our horses. Please visit them from the outside rails and do not enter the barn. We also have several barn cats so do not let your dog’s run loose on the property. They must be always leashed unless they are in the fenced in yard or on the trails with you. There have been a few renters that have let their dogs terrorize our poor Kitties.

Lastly, we have three other Airbnb on our 125 acres but near Sunset Farm, so if you would like to have other family members or friends join you, they can rent one of our other homes. We have hosted family reunions and wedding parties in the past and it works out very well.

Sweet Caroline, a small 2-bedroom country cottage. Big Sky Ranch: A large 3 bedroom where several of our horses stay (outside that is), it has a pool table, fireplace, three decks, and lots of room. The Lodge: Our newest and most fabulous of all four. Built with the wood from our property, it has a unique interior with two live trees built into the walls, a large fireplace, custom railings, and great decor.

Please Park and enter through the side door where we will supply you with a code to enter the house.
REMEMBER, we are off the beaten path, so be sure to do your food shopping before you come, or soon after. NO ONE delivers out here. We provide a starter kit for items like trash bags (2), laundry pods (2), dishwasher pods (2), We also provide coffee, tea and non-dairy creamer, most major spices, oil, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.
We also supply a charcoal grill with enough charcoal and lighter fluid for two BBQ's. In addition, we have an outdoor fire pit, and we will supply you with wood, you might have to gather some kindling, but there are plenty of tress all around you.
No smoking allowed inside no exceptions. If you smoke outside, please make sure the doors are closed so that smoke doesn’t get inside.
We do allow pets. An extra one-time pet fee will be applied of $75 per pet. Two is the maximum allowed.
We have stopped allowing cats at our Airbnb's.
We are cat lovers, but several potential renters are deathly allergic to them and will not be able to use our facilities if there have been cats living there. We are very sorry for this inconvenience.
We also have stalls available for your horses, ask about that pricing, as it varies, however it usually runs between $25-50 per horse per day. Discounts for long term renters.

Trail Riding on our property is only allowed upon a signed hold harmless agreement. However, there are lots of dirt roads surrounding the property that you are free to ride at your own risk. Of course, there is the amazing 1000-acre Hitchcock Woods for a full day of riding (or hiking).
*We would be happy to provide you with the names of local feed stores to have hay, feed and or shavings delivered before your arrival, or for an additional fee, we can get it for you. Just communicate with us and we will try our best to accommodate your needs.
