Positive: We loved out stay at Manyara !!. The apartment was clean and cozy and in a gated complex that was within a larger gated community - which is part of a new expansion of the city. The surrounding areas were very well maintained and lot of green walking space. There were two convenient stores within walking distance and larger super markets werr within a 10min driving distance. There were plenty of local eateries, within walking distance outside the gated community, serving up local flare at an affordable price just outside the. We dined and multiple spots and they gave us the real local experience. The location was within 10mins driving distance to the nearest beach and with more beaches within a few more mins drive. The beaches were clean and we enjoyed many days at the beach too. Omar, was proactive in sending us all the necessary information and the access codes for the lock box outside to gain access to the clicker that opened the gate to the complex and the code for the door to the apartment. He was quick to get his friend to attend to the water heater when he realized that it wasn't turned on, on the day we checked in. Again, we absolutely enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider the same location if we're vacationing in Playa del Carmen.
