Cloud 9 is a wonderfully outfitted log cabin with heavy timber frame construction and outstanding long-range views. Luxuriously appointed with a hot tub, 4 flat-screen TVs, a foosball table, and captivating views, guests can escape to Cloud 9 knowing they have all the comforts they need.
Located on the beautiful mountain ridge that borders North Carolina and Tennessee, activities and attractions abound. Bethel School, with a public playground, track, basketball hoop, open field, and picnic tables, is just 5 miles from the cabin. Laurel Creek Falls and Watauga River Gorge Access, which has access to several popular local swimming holes, is 10 miles away. Watauga Lake is 22 miles away, with Lakeshore Marina open for boat rentals. Tweetsie Railroad Amusement Park, Appalachian Ski Mountain, High Gravity Adventures Zipline and Aerial Park, and the town of Boone are all within 25 miles. Additional attractions include:

Aptly named, stepping into Cloud 9 is like stepping into happiness. Upon walking in the door, you will be presented with the view from the wall of windows encapsulating the living room, kitchen, and dining room. The kitchen is well stocked and easy to orient yourself with labeled cabinets, a crock pot, Keurig and drip coffee makers, and communal coffee pods and spices. (These items are for guests to use, restocked at intervals by the owner, and often supplemented by leftovers from happy guests). The large flat-screen TV, Alexa technology, stacked stone gas fireplace, and comfortable furnishings create a wonderful evening ambiance after a soak in the hot tub on the back deck. You will inevitably be drawn to the deck to enjoy the outdoor audio system, gas grill, and forever views.
On each side of the open living area is a king suite, with TVs and ensuite bathrooms equipped with step stools for little ones. Up the custom wooden stairs, you will find an open loft with a foosball table, a TV, an Xbox game system, and 3 twin beds.
Winter Access
- This home is accessed by rural mountain roads. As with all of our properties, you should be prepared with 4WD and tire chains during the winter months.
- Cloud 9, in particular, MAY NOT BE ACCESSIBLE in winter without 4WD and tire chains.
- Cloud 9 is equipped with a backup whole-house generator for your security and comfort.
