THE SPACE

While soaking up the day in our hot tub or catching Georgia O’Keeffe worthy sunsets around our outdoor Kiva fireplace, at Casa De Ice you are guaranteed to relax and make memories you will never forget!
We have a large family, which is why we designed the space to be the perfect retreat and refuge where everyone can fit under one roof.
With (1) King suite + Queen pullout sofa and attached bathroom, (1) King suite with attached bathroom, (1) bunk room with 4 Twin bunk beds, and (2) Queen rooms with shared hallway bath, there is plenty of space for the whole family. We can sleep 12, but our technical occupancy is 10 adults + small children.
Casa De Ice is newly renovated with modern GE Cafe Appliances, designer furniture and finishes, a Kiva wood burning fireplace, updated bathrooms complete with Santa Fe talavera tile, solid hardwood oak and saltillo tile floors, 10 person dining table, Sun Room with panoramic views, and an open concept that feels like the living room and kitchen are never ending.
Outdoor spaces include a 6 person hot tub, a Kiva fireplace with 360 degree views, latilla covered pergola + 8 person outdoor dining table, a large custom firepit inspired by Santa Fe’s own Four Seasons, an elevated deck for lounging and catching New Mexico's breathtaking sunsets, and peaceful gravel area with secondary outdoor dining table for 6.
If you are visiting Santa Fe, chances are you are looking for rest, relaxation, and an escape from the hustle and bustle of life. If that is true, don't settle for a vacation rental in a crowded neighborhood or a hotel with tiny rooms and lots of people.

Horses and the coral on property are not part of your Casa De Ice experience.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
BEDS / SLEEPING
The bunk beds are best suited for children. The top bunk beds are closer to ceiling and are great for kids, but will feel a bit crammed for an adult.
Sleeping 12 involves 2 people / bed (we have 4 king / queen beds = 8 people), 4 twin bunk beds (best suited for children or smaller adults), and 1 sleeper sofa.
HVAC + HEATING & COOLING
Casa De Ice features minisplit HVAC units in the Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, and both King Suites. The mini-splits provide both heating and cooling.
The 2 Queen Rooms + Bunk Room feature electric baseboard heaters, but these rooms do not have air conditioning. They are all equipped with fans and windows can be opened for cooling and airflow.
Note, Casa De Ice is over 50 years old and is built on a traditional Pier and Beam house with a crawl space. Because of this, certain parts of the house can be drafty and the floors can sometimes get cool in the winter. We recommend slippers in the winter to stay nice and warm.
We also provide a few extra stand alone plug in heaters, if you need some additional heat in a bathroom or sunroom. Please know that (2) plug in heaters can not be plugged in simultaneously on the same circuit as they require a good deal of power and will trip the breaker. They also can not be used in tandem with blow dryers or curling irons, as those can also trip a breaker.
WOOD
We provide one stack of firewood for our guests to use for their stay. Additional firewood can be purchased by guests at local stores.
PARKING
There is a large gravel parking area at the top of the property that can accommodate 2-3 cars and will allow you plenty of room to turn around. When turning around please be careful of the pergola areas and boulders.
NOISE
Please be mindful of loud noises outside.
Because the area is so quiet, sound will travel in the back arroyo and easily disturbs neighbors. Even loud talking will carry. We ask that you would be respectful and help us continue to be great neighbors to our community.
We have strict outdoor quiet hours between 9:00pm - 7:00am. Please wrap up fire pit usage by 10pm. We use an outdoor sound monitoring system to ensure quiet hours are followed.
Breaking quiet hours and disturbing neighbors will result in an immediate termination of your rental agreement.
