Negative: Toilet and sink too small, not able to even fill kettle from the tap, had to use a glass to fill the kettle and I struggled to wash cups, no washing liquid provided or dish towels for drying cups and spoons. When trying to clean the cups in the small sink a cup was dropped and I reported this to him via text, he never gave a us a replacement cup so we went out and bought two cups but ones with handles so less chance of it slipping out of hand. Toilet was very noisy . Tiny fridge on floor with tray ontop with two cups and two coffee cups, not clean under the coasters these were on. The fridge is inadequate for use, it would be better to have a larger fridge which would also double up as a area for making the tea/coffee ontop of and to have the kettle on a safer worktop. There is 3 chairs in the room itself which are not required and the larger chair could be removed to allow for a larger fridge/worktop. There was no black out blinds and the blinds that were there has gaps allowing light into the room, very poor sleep without blackout blinds, we noticed that the unit opposite us had black out blinds. Was given two towels and a washcloth, I asked when we would get additional towels and was told he would replace these in 4 days and showed me spare pillows(actually cushions) they were dirty. When he did change over the bed/towels we were told that he had found yellow stains on the towels and had to wash them twice and that if we didn’t take care with the towels he would have to charge us dry cleaning. The towels were far from white when we got them and the replacement ones had stains in them. We were scared to use the towels after that! Noticed from the start that there was areas of the room at skirting level that had been touched up very badly looked scruffy, the paint was the wrong colour. A information sheet would be helpful and also the pool is not in that building but away down the steep road, it’s misleading the description on Booking.
Summary: Beautiful views but the accommodation needs improvement.
