Located just 1 1/2 hours north of Atlanta, Lake Burton is the premier mountain lake destination. Located between Helen and Clayton, "Blue Burton Bungalow" is close to any North Georgia activity you might want to enjoy. For families that are interested in boating, there are two marinas that rent boats and there is a year round boat ramp just down the road. Swimming, fishing, hiking and everything in between are easily accessible.
The Cottage is completely renovated throughout with new appliances, furniture and beds. The cabin includes washer and dryer, dishwasher, and extremely well equipped kitchen to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Over 1 acre of privacy with a firepit and a Weber Gas Grill. The screened front porch has a cozy swing to relax on. High Speed Wifi and 2 Smart TV's with YouTube TV subscription included.
There is a large level concrete driveway and only 3 steps up to the living space. The backyard is flat with a small porch just off the kitchen with the grill and leads to a private firepit area. You are 1 minute from from Brooks Lil General Store and Restaurant with gas pumps and ice machines. LaPrade Marina is 6 minutes away and Murray Cove Boat Ramp (public launch ramp to Lake Burton) is 9 minutes away. Great eating is found at Bleu Canoe and TB&J BBQ, both less than 5 minutes. Oakey Mountain OHV Trails (for ATV's, dirt bikes, mountain bikes, etc.) are 5 minutes away.
The cabin is comfortably furnished and has a large well equipped kitchen open to the living area, with a laundry room and pantry, with plenty of shelving, just off the kitchen. You won't find many rentals with nearly as well equipped kitchen as "Blue Burton Bungalow". We have K-cup and drip coffee maker, blender, air fryer, crock pots, Instant Pot, toaster, full complement of glasses and dishware etc.
After a long day of hiking, sightseeing, boating or whatever come back and relax on the swinging couch on the screened in front porch or hang out in the spacious living room, dining room, kitchen area. The Master Bedroom has a king bed and the second bedroom has two twin beds. There is a daybed in the living area for extra sleeping arrangements.
You will also find a library of books and games in case of bad weather or just to relax in the evenings. The TV's include Roku controls to access YouTube TV for local programming and ESPN, Golf Channel, History Channel, etc. or launch your own Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu etc.
