We are in the center of over 30 wineries, breweries, distilleries, and cideries, as well as skiing, mountain biking, golf, caverns, hiking trails, and orchards.

The Roadhouse at Stumble Creek underwent a complete make-over in June 2020. We renovated inside and out and refurnished the entire home. We are excited to provide our guests with a beautiful new look!
We are just 0.3 miles from Blue Mountain Brewery, and are just a short distance from the Wintergreen All Season Resort and Spa, the Charlottesville Airport, the Historic Charlottesville Downtown Mall, and the University of Virginia. There are also lots of family activities close by including skiing, mountain biking, golf, orchards, caverns, and walking/hiking trails. We provide our guests with a full list of local attractions.
The Roadhouse at Stumble Creek (sleeps up to 6) may be rented independently, or with The Cottage at Stumble Creek (sleeps up to 9), for a total of 15 guests (message us for details). The properties are together on 1.6 acres, so each has privacy. If you are interested in renting both properties, please ask us about the discount for doing so.
Enjoy a glass of wine and soak in the mountain views from the front porch, roast marshmallows around the fire pit, or enjoy a local craft brew while throwing corn hole or horseshoes with friends and family. Stumble down to the creek to enjoy the local wildlife. Firewood and starters are provided.
The well-appointed kitchen offers everything a chef would need to cook a gourmet meal, and we also have a large propane grill. The kitchen includes full pot and k-cup coffee maker, full pan set, crockpot, panini/waffle maker and more! Just ask, we are happy to answer any questions about amenities.
The back porch game room provides a fun space to hang out and play shuffleboard, PacMan, and darts.
Each bedroom includes comfortable, high quality linens and mattresses. Both bedrooms have queen beds.
In the den you will find comfortable seating and a queen pull out sofa bed. Linens are provided for this bed as well.
The Roadhouse at Stumble Creek comes with lots of family games, cards, corn hole, and movies, as well as smart TVs and wifi.
A laundry room with washer and dryer is also available to our guests.
At Stumble Creek, we do our best to offer our guests amenities and incidentals that make your trip extra special. We hope your find it to be a comfortable home away from home.
Want to travel with your furry friends? We allow up to 2 dogs for a small fee. VRBO requires we limit weight to 50lbs, so if your pups are bigger just send us a note to discuss. All dogs must be on a leash when outside.
