Creekside Zen Writer's Cabin and Tearoom | Cabin in Cobb
1 Bedroom Cabin in Cobb
Imagine working/writing from home that feels like a getaway, tucked away in the woods on a mountain, with the sound of creek lulling during day and night. Want a break? You can go down to the creek, take a walk to a nearby trail or a hike, or soak at the legendary harbin hotsprings 20 mins away.
The cabin comes with a stocked library of my favorite 400 books across fiction, poetry, non-fiction, and spirituality; a record player, a kitchenette, tea ceremony room, and an incredible creekside view with a garden. The kitchenette is minimal with a two-burner electronic stove with basic utensils, some spices, fridge, microwave, sink, manual coffee grinder, french press, blender, and a drip coffee maker. This also happens to be my tea ceremony room, so you can sit down and enjoy some loose leaf tea while you read your book, or take a break between writing.
For your remote work/writing, there's a desk/chair by the window also overlooking the creek, with a matte monitor and Japanese mechanical keyboard (bluetooth) for you to hookup your laptop.
My internet here is excellent 50+ MBPS, though this place is ideal for disconnecting. For the brave souls, there's also a Japanese electronic typewriter to plough away those streams of consciousness or poetry.
I have a zen garden in the making with Japanese maples, bamboos, old plums and cherry trees, and over a dozen fruit tress I planted two years ago.
Within a 2 min drive is a nice grocery store, coffee/book store, pizza place, gas station. There are weekly yoga and dance classes within 10 mins. Within 20 mins drive there are over a dozen local wineries (ask me for recommendations) and a few great hikes. Within 30 mins is Calistoga and all the Napa wineries ...
