My home is a four-season sanctuary for all who adore nature, farm animals, and lust for simple comfort with quality relaxation in picturesque rolling hills amidst horse farms, barns, polo fields, and expansive trails dotting quaint small hamlets in northern Dutchess County NY. A serene modern country compound, my home is set on a hill surrounded by three acres of wooded nature. A winding long driveway off a quiet country road leads to this charming white center hall colonial cottage. The cottage is rustic chic, filled with modern amenities for simplicity and comfort. The house has fast reliable wifi with a large coverage area, ensuring connection whether Guests choose to work in the Attic, Patio or Deck.
BEDROOMS
The House can accommodate UP TO a maximum of 7 Guests. The house set up is ideal for one small family, two couples or two singles.
[Bedroom 1] - Private room on the second floor. One queen size bed. Sleeps two.
[Bedroom 2] - Private room on the second floor. One full size bed. Sleeps two.
[The Attic] - Two twin mattresses may be set up in this large top floor space. Host must be notified of sofa bed setup upon booking.
[The Staircase Room]- A single futon bed for a child may be set up in this space on the second floor. Host must be notified of futon setup need upon booking.
YOUR SPACE
Guests have access of the entire house, except restricted personal and storage areas that are locked. Please refer to listing photo descriptions for space details.
KITCHEN
Kitchen is fully outfitted. Appliances include induction cooktop installed 2023, GE electric wall oven installed 2021, electric grill with air fryer, dishwasher, charcoal grills, and more.
BASEMENT ACCESS
Basement access (Washer and Dryer are located in the Basement) is generally only granted to Guests staying for a week or more. Exterior Basement Door is used by Host, maintenance crew as well as service providers.
THE FUNNY FLOCK
A small backyard farm of ducks and chicks living their best lives adds elements of fun, pure joy and surprise to your stay. Daily fresh eggs are guaranteed! A farm tour or hands-on experience can be arranged.
MEDITATION SPACE WITH MOUNTAIN VIEW
This large space is the entire attic. A winding steel spiral staircase leads you up to this secluded, sunny, open space with picture windows overlooking the Stissing Mountain. The space is intentionally set up with accents like incenses and pillows to induce a deep meditation or a cleansing relaxation. Tell Alexa (mini pod is located in the space) to play your favorite meditation sounds or frequencies, close your eyes and allow your mind to drift.
YOGA SPACE
The large side deck is the ideal spot for Yoga and Meditation. You'll achieve total relaxation and peace soaking in the morning sun while listening to nature's symphony.
DAILY HIKES
The cottage is set on a hill. Guests can enjoy short or long walks and small hikes on and around the property with wooded nature all around.
YOUR HOST
Host and Co-Host (a friendly and quiet 3-year-old blue heeler pup) live on site, occupying and accessing a private basement suite with separate entry/exit, away from Front Door main entrance used by Guests.
Host deeply values Guests' comfort, privacy and freedom. During your stay, no maintenance activity will be scheduled in the main house unless it's an emergency. Prior notice will be given.
HOUSE RULES
- Insurance policy requires First and Last Name of all Guests
- Check in: 3PM-9PM; Check out: 12PM (strict)
- No unauthorized Guests
- One well-behaved dog is generally allowed with prior approval. Pets should be leashed outside as there are free-range chicken and ducks around the property. It is also to keep your pets safe from predators.
- No smoking
- No loud music outside or loud partying outside

SURVEILLANCE
To ensure Guests' safety and the proper function of the House, there may be cameras in the following areas:
- Basement (This camera must remain plugged in at all times, to monitor the proper function of the boilers, water filter, tank and pump etc)
- Duck Pen (External camera monitors the flock on the property)
- Side of House (External camera monitors deliveries)
*There are no surveillance cameras in Guests' living or sleeping areas
