Welcome to Greyview, a historic and charming cottage in the heart of Ocean Point on the cusp of Boothbay Harbor. This visually appealing and bright home was built in 1895 and was home to the original Ocean Point General Store, now renovated from top -to-bottom and ready to be the perfect Atlantic coast getaway for your friends and family. Ocean Point is one of the most awe-inspiring spots along the rocky coast of Maine, inviting visitors to take in epic views of the crashing waves and nearby islands. It's a short walk down Shore Road to Grimes Cove Beach and Ocean Point Walk and lookout. Here you can enjoy swimming, collecting treasures, or picnic on the sun drenched rocks. A few steps from the cottage in another direction will take you to Ocean Point Inn and the Ocean Point Community Dock for a refreshing drink, dinner or boat watching. Book and enjoy a harbor cruise or a fishing trip right from the dock. Just next door to Greyview is the Ocean Point Colony Association Clubhouse, tennis courts, and fields. Local hotspots are nearby when you would rather venture out. The East Boothbay General Store is also close by, and is known throughout the region for their amazing breakfast pizzas, pastries, sandwiches, and more.
This three-story, 3BR/1.5BA cottage offers scenic views and summer adventure on every side. Greyview is set back from the waterfront, but offers great ocean views from the beautifully designed wrap-around porch, the primary bedroom, and 3rd floor living and viewing room. The 3rd floor viewing room boasts a large picture window, sitting area and window seats to enjoy and take in the breathtaking sunrise and sunsets, complete with telescope. Enjoy relaxing in the sun or a shady spot while sitting on the spacious porch, barbecuing on the grill and laughing with friends and family around the table in the outdoor dining area. The wrap around porch looks out to the ocean and over the neighborhood while inviting guests in. The original wide plank pine floors and wood beamed ceilings embrace the history of the home while updated amenities and bright decor give the real feel of a vacation home. You'll find a large living room, half bathroom/laundry, dining room and kitchen on the first floor. The large fireplace with wood burning stove adds to the Maine cottage appeal. The custom cabinetry throughout the home provides ample storage and charm. There is plenty of seating to enjoy a quiet book, fun movie, or a delicious bite to eat. The second floor provides two guest bedrooms, a full bath and a bright primary bedroom with water views. Head to the third floor to take-in open ocean views. The bunk room (located in a separate building not attached to the main home) features a full bath and is available May 15th - Oct 15th. The spectacular views and cozy setting will be the talk of your family and friends for many years to come, reflecting on the great memories made at Greyview.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
