Feel the magic as you walk in the door and are calmed by the beautiful features of this luxury home with 3 gas fireplaces, huge bedrooms and ample space to spread out.
You'll feel like you're at a private resort lounging on the enormous patio around the amazing pool with a slide, diving board and jetted seats!
In the evening, relax under the stars while enjoying the hot tub, porch swing, fire pit or dinner at the huge outdoor dining area.
Book this place! You'll want to come back every year.
This is a huge home, custom built for a large family with ample space for large groups to spread out and an amazing pool! (Note: the pool closed Oct 5th 2022 due to unusually cold Fall temperatures. We hope to have it open in early May 2023.)
Unlike many cabins in the area, this place was built to the highest quality standards-- you won't hear every sound from the next room or hear people snoring in the bedroom beneath you.
The dining table comfortably seats 10-12 and we provide a large folding table that can be set up in the same area for a large group to eat together.
The house has enough dishes and silverware for 20.
The bedrooms are set up with families in mind.
- The enormous master suite has a King bed with a twin trundle bed on the other side of the room (two single mattresses) and a rocking chair for getting little ones to sleep!
- A second King bedroom has a chaise lounge where a child could sleep
- The Queen bedroom also has a chaise lounge where a child could sleep
- The first floor enormous King bedroom/second master bedroom has a gas fireplace and full size couch with chaise (big enough for two kids if needed, but also great for private relaxing)
- The second first floor King bedroom has a gorgeous bay window overlooking an amazing view of the beautiful Hocking Hills area
- The huge finished basement has an enormous couch, including a pull-out double sleeper sofa/bad, plus two foldup futon single mattress/chairs perfect for a sleepover for older kids.
There is one full bathroom in the basement, one on the first floor (which has two bedrooms) and two full bathrooms on the second floor (which has three bedrooms), offering plenty of bathroom options for large groups to have privacy. One bathroom has a tub, making bath-time with kids easier.
We also have a pack-n-play in the closet in the basement, with a mattress and sheets.
The hot tub is a brand new 7-person Hot Spring Salt Water Grandee, the largest size available. The jets are ridiculously powerful (adjustable for people who like lower pressure). Sitting under the stars in the hot tub is a real treat.
The heated pool is incredible. There's plenty of seating for large groups to hang out around the pool. The slide and diving board are super fun. The space is almost too beautiful to describe. The pool has a large stairway area where younger kids can play, and also has two jetted seats for guests who prefer to relax in the pool but not swim.

You can walk down the driveway to the General Store, which has a liquor store on site.
The house is also just two minutes from a Dollar General, which has a huge inventory, including basic groceries, toiletries, kids' toys, etc.
A full grocery store is ten minutes away in the city of McArthur, with produce, meats, cheeses, etc.
The house is about a 30-minute drive from Old Man's Cave and Waterfall.
You might not want to leave the house at all, given all the options on-site, but if you're looking for activities, you can find ziplining, canoeing, fishing, a beach, hunting, hiking, horse-back riding, and more within a ~15 minute drive.
The property is 35 private acres. The trails through the woods make a large loop that's relatively easy to follow, with a wire fence indicating the property boundaries. The pool and hot tub are private for guests of this house, but there are two houses nearby that you can see from this house.
We don't live in McArthur, but we have a handyman and cleaning crew who are available for assistance if needed.
The house is on US 50, behind the Cross Creek General Store/Gas Station/ Liquor Store. There's a Dollar General three minutes away where you can buy basic supplies and groceries.
- Use bug spray when you're in nature. Where there are deer, there are ticks.
- The Dollar General, which is a 2-minute drive from the house, has a pretty impressive inventory. If you forgot anything, you can probably find it there.
- The house doesn't have much carpet. If you're used to carpet, we encourage you to bring slippers or house shoes. We provide disposable slippers in the laundry room for guests who forgot theirs, but we encourage you to bring a more cushioned pair if you have some.
- Bathrobes are nice for the hot tub. We really wanted to provide bathrobes, but unfortunately due to the size of the house and number of towels people use, our cleaning crew doesn't have capacity to wash bathrobes between guests, so you'll have to bring your own.
- We would appreciate it if you would be mindful of the number of towels that you use. Between showers, pool and hot tub, they can add up for large groups. We want you to enjoy yourself. If you use a lot of towels during your stay, we'd appreciate it if you have time to wash some of them before you leave, but you are not required to do any laundry.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the house. $500 fee for smoking inside.
- Smoking outside is allowed only if all cigarettes are properly disposed of.
- No parties.
- No pets.
- All guests must be identified on registration. No unregistered guests on property.
- Bow/arrow hunting permitted at own risk.
- No guns inside the property. $500 fee for violation. Guests with guns must leave them in their car during stay. If a firearm is left at the property, local authorities will be notified to remove it. Guest must contact authorities to retrieve it.
- No glass in pool area or in hot tub. Plastic glasses provided. If guests break glass in pool area or hot tub, guest is responsible for full cost of repair plus $500 fine.
- No fireworks of any kind.
