2 Bedroom Apartment in Mile End, Montreal
This gigantic, sunlight filled apt is the top floor of a historic building in Mile End. With 10 ft high ceilings and original crown moldings, it has the feel of a Parisian apt. Decor is bohemian glam with mid century furniture and eclectic vintage pieces, and since my husband and I are both artists, the walls are covered with original artwork. The apt also boasts a large TV and PS3 which includes access to our Netflix account.
Our apt is open concept and has two bedrooms, a very large kitchen/dining area, and a double living room/ office. The office can serve as a temp third bedroom, it has a pull out sofa and the projector screen can be lowered to function as a curtain separating it from the living room. There is also an entry way, and a large bathroom with a skylight. The bathroom has a separate shower and bath. The apartment has only been sparingly renovated, thus sports many original architectural details from the beginning of the 20th century, like the original handcrafted plaster and wood floors, giving it an older, eclectic, more European vibe… which as artists we really love! Steps away from all the best restaurants, pubs and foodie destinations. This place is a true gem!
The entire apt and back balcony are accessible to guests. Only the bedroom closet is locked.

AC is a seasonal amenity. If guests book the apt before June 1st or after Oct 1 please inquire about the AC upon booking. It’s a window unit and we usually do not install it before June 1st because it’s too cold.
Also please keep in mind our apt is not a brand new condo, as I mention in the description, it is in a very old building and has many original elements like flooring and plaster. These have minor irregularities in them: small scratches and cracks. The bathtub an old clawfoot, cast iron porcelain tub.
We have lived here for 5 years with pets and a toddler so there is minor wear and tear on the furniture but overall in good condition.
Neighbourhood;
Mile End is a bit like Williamsburg in Brooklyn. There tons of wonderful local cafes, restaurants and bars. Also many small shops and boutiques. This neighborhood is a real foodie destination, the famous Fairmount Bagel is across the street, kem coba and Anthony Bourdain's favourite spot; Wilenskie's, all within a five min walk from our front door!
Also lots of lovely parks, art galleries and a neighborhood swimming pool!
