Come enjoy the tranquil beauty of Kohl's Ranch at our beautiful cabin getaway! With the famous Tonto Creek gurgling along in your backyard, you'll be immersed in a peaceful, wooded retreat. Come put your hiking boots to work, or simply come for a restful weekend in nature. You'll love the beautiful Ponderosa Forest, incredibly starry skies and, sightings of elk and other wildlife! Far from regular neighborhoods but close enough to enjoy Payson!
Our cabin, The Fox & Fawn, is composed of two levels. The top, or "The Fox", is the elegant main house with master bedroom with office and TV, 2 bathrooms, large gourmet kitchen, dining room with large dining table, a large living room with 85" flat screen, and another den with fold out sofa, fireplace and another TV.
Our bottom level or "The Fawn" is on the creek level (down the spiral stairs) and consists of a cozy bedroom with full ensuite, electric fireplace, a small table for 2, and mini fridge. Seating right out the door offers a private perch overlooking the roaring creek.
There is another small bedroom with twin over twin trundle that can also pop up and become a King bed. Downstairs is a great set up for parents with kids and their own bathroom.
We allow 1 to 2 SMALL dogs to accompany you (20 lbs or smaller) for a $50 fee for each dog. Other size dogs on a case-by-case basis with added fee. PLEASE inquire before booking.
The entire house is perfect for multi-generational families, 3 separate couples, or families with older teens who want to hang out in their own space.
A gate gives you instant access to Tonto Creek. Spend the day creekside and fish, swim, hike, explore or just relax. The upper deck features a large BBQ, dining table, firepit table, heaters, sofas/chairs and access to the kitchen via a pass-through window; perfect for max relaxation!
