Retreat into nature on our 20-acre organic food forest, just 15 minutes from Asheville! Forest bathe in our salted spring-water hot tub, swim laps in our salted spring-water pool, take a hike up to the spring, or a barefoot walk down our "wineberry wedding trail." Have a fire under the stars. Sleep to the sound of crickets, wake to the sound of birds.
The space
Your 350-square-foot cabin is the newest of three Air Bnb "cabins" surrounding our historic home in the middle of a 20-acre food forest we call "The Secret Garden of Eden."
It's the product of a year of hard work by your hosts Brad and Sara and her amazing brother, who taught himself to design and build a house on YouTube!
The property is a little piece of paradise, completely surrounded by 300 acres of wild forest and invisible to our neighbors. It includes a 1-acre organic permaculture garden, fruit trees, thousands of wineberries, blackberries and black raspberries, walnuts, and masses of medicinal herbs.
We fill our 32-foot vinyl pool and inflatable hot tub with fresh spring water from an old spring we re-tapped up the mountain behind our house.
Your cabin is about 150 feet from our home, but surrounded by trees for privacy and includes your own separate "front yard" with fire pit, and easy access to pool and hot tub (with an additional hot tub on your own porch coming Feb 7.)
This semi-off-grid cabin has electricity and water, but no flush toilet! The COMPOSTING TOILET is the easiest-to-use on the market. We fill it with fresh compost between guests and it has zero smell. All you need to do is sprinkle cedar shavings on top each time you go. You'll be amazed how simple it is!
It includes a fully-equipped kitchenette with full oven and air fryer.
We provide organic castille soap, Turkish cotton towels, and use organic cleaners and laundry detergent.

Open 24 hours as long as you are quiet and keep flashlights pointed down!
Hot tub is drained into pool and refilled with fresh spring water weekly! Filters cleaned between each guest!
Firewood available for $10 per 10-log bundle. You can collect your own kindling/sticks from the hiking trails, or we can get a fire started for you for $20.
Pick-your-own basket of black raspberries included in June, wineberries in July, apples in August, and persimmons in September.
This is a secluded, nature-immersion experience.
It is VERY DARK here at night. We keep it that way on purpose. We like to see the stars and the fireflies and don't want to throw off our circadian rhythms or harm wildlife with light pollution. Not everyone is comfortable with this.
Our driveway is long and narrow, but not steep. It's a typical mountain driveway to us, but has made a few people nervous, as, on a rare occasion, you may be required to back up when encountering another car.
