Hand-crafted Mayfield shepherds hut is a wonderful place to get away from it all, set in the foothills of the Yorkshire Wolds countryside. Mayfield has a homely modern feel with a wood burning stove, double-glazed window and a stable door, along with a double bed.
Mayfield is one of four bespoke shepherd’s huts set in the grounds of Clayfield Farm. The quiet location is a great spot to escape for a weekend away with a loved one or to base yourself for exploring the surrounding area. The area is a popular tourist destination for sightseeing or for walkers and cyclists. Each hut measures 4.8 meters x 2.4 meters and inside is a comfy double bed with storage underneath, a couple of fold down TV tables, a console table and chairs, a wood burning stove, a small fridge, a kettle, wifi reception and a television. The hut has been built with extra insulation and there is also the luxury of underfloor heating for those chillier months.
Outside the hut is a private gravelled area fenced off with hazel wood panelling. Sit at the table and chairs or relax on the sun loungers and enjoy the panoramic views of the picturesque farmland, both arable and home to sheep and lambs. Embrace the glamping experience and cook alfresco on the charcoal barbecue provided for each hut. There is also a convenient outside cold tap (mains water) by each hut. In addition, a fire pit and pizza oven are available for shared use by all glamping guests.
Each hut has its own private shower room with a shower, WC, and wash basin; the separate shower block and kitchen is a few steps from your hut. The well-equipped kitchen is communal and shared by the four huts with use of an electric oven, kettle, microwave, washing machine and plenty of crockery, pots, and pans. Each morning fresh bread and milk will be provided in the kitchen for all huts. Tea, coffee, biscuits and local jams will be included in your welcome pack on arrival.
