Knapp, this gorgeous house's origins date back to 1914 when it was built as the home for the local mill manager, Robert H. Stobie. Showcasing many original features, including oak woodwork, tile, period wallpaper, and ornate light fixtures, the home has been thoughtfully restored throughout with complementary updates designed for modern living. The town park, with access to Two Cent Bridge, where you can walk across the Kennebec River, is directly across the street. You can also walk to the Waterville Opera House, which hosts year-round musical events and theatrical productions. Several nearby colleges, including Colby and Thomas Colleges, attract an annual draw of visitors and events.
