Positive: The main selling point for the hotel is the private beach, which is a naturally beautiful location that we really enjoyed. We also found the food at breakfast & dinner to be fairly good, and we liked the pool.
Negative: We had read other reviews about the hotel needing a major makeover, so we weren't too disappointed as we knew what to expect. The only thing that really disappointed me - no drinking water available at dinner. We were on half board and I don't expect alcoholic or soft drinks to be included, but simple drinking water should be provided. This feels like a really cheap and cynical attempt to make you purchase drinks at inflated prices.
Summary: If you go in with limited expectations, you'll have a nice time
