Summary: Hotel de Nice is in an excellent location and, for a modest price per room, a fair choice. It's a bit 1960s and funky, but that has its own charm. Staff was highly variable in their interest in assisting us. Although the lift went to the ground floor, no one ever offered it to me for my baggage, so I had to use the stairs from the first floor. Staff told us we could not sit in the lobby and drink wine in the evening. One staffer was eager to help with directions and recommendations. Others seemed inconvenienced by the whole Hotel Thing and Dealing with Guests.
