Summary: The only pro was the closness to the beach. There’s no such a thing about feeling welcomed when checking in, Rafael the man at the front desk at night is not a very pleasant or friendly receptionist, I said hello to him and he held his hand to “shush” me because he was busy. Instead of kindly acknowledge me and request to hold of a moment in a professional manner. He charged me 300 pesos for an extra night for a guest when in the website it clearly says 11.00 cad . The service was below average, he was rude. The beds were ok. Cleaning staff did an incredible job taking care of our room, we were beyond happy leaving a gratuity for her. The front desk was often left unattended. There are so many hotel gems out there that cost less and the service is marvellous. Will definitely not be returning to this place again. I often come to Playa del Carmen and wanted to try something different, this place was definitely the one with the worst guest experience
