Positive: No idea why this property had a 6.5 rating. It deserves and is worthy of a much higher rating. I loved this property. The apartment is fantastic and has everything you need - fridge, microwave, kitchen, washing machine, etc. It is very well laid out and perfect size for a couple or small family, I think it would be tight with 4 adults. It is much bigger than an average Japanese hotel room. It has a couple of big closets and loads of storage space. It has a nice large balcony for sitting outside and provides ample light and fresh air. It is spotlessly clean and they provided lots of amenities, including the usual items hotels provide such as toothbrushes, razors, slippers, robes. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. A/C works great and it has an awesome shower. Location: It is located around the corner from Roppommatsu train station and near several bus stops. There is a Bon Repas grocery/bakery and several other restaurants nearby. About a 10 min walk to Ohori Park. The ability to sit on the futon sofa, watch Netflix and have a quiet evening in was a nice bonus. Although on a busy street, it's relatively sound proof. Communication with host was great. Although property is unmanned, check in procedures went smoothly. You simply use the iPad on the left to check in and the outside door code and apartment door code are then sent immediately via email. Codes worked great without issues. Fantastic apartment - would definitely stay again.
Negative: Prior to check in, you will receive an email to upload a copy of your passport photos. When you check in on the iPad, you will video chat with someone in your own language, and show them your passport again so they can verify it is you checking in. Then your door entry codes will be sent immediately. It may seem a bit confusion but it’s actually quite an easy process. Futon is a bit low. As with all Japanese accommodations, we took out shores off at the entry, but wish there was a little stool in hall to sit on to put them back on and tie laces before we went back out.
Summary: Truly wonderful clean spacious apartment in ideal location. Perfect stay!
