This 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath modern house is a perfect spot for 1-2 families to use as a home base for a Bay Area visit. Or for a family to enjoy for an extended stay during the summer. Available mid-June to mid-August 2024, with discount for longer stays. Includes multiple outdoor dining options, patios, gardens, waterfall, hot tub, pool table, movie theater, etc. Comes with free use of a Volvo XC90 SUV: get around in style without needing to rent a car (seats 7, insurance covered, discuss details separately).
BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS:
Four large bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms offer a variety of sleeping arrangements!
> The master bedroom has a king size bed, desk/work area, a private balcony overlooking the Bay, en suite bathroom and 15 foot walk-in closet.
> The en suite master bathroom has a Roman bath style shower, two vanities, and a separate toilet room.
> Bedroom 2 has two twin beds, a walk-in closet, a large desk, and views of the Bay.
> Bedroom 3 has a twin bed with a full size twin trundle, as well as a desk, closet, and views of the Bay.
> Bathroom 2 (on the hallway next to Bedrooms 2&3) has a shower/tub and two sinks.
> Bedroom 4 has a queen size bed, sitting area, and Bay views. It is on the ground floor, next to Bathroom 4, which is a full bath with step-in shower.
> There is also a half bathroom just off the kitchen.
LIVING AREAS:
The house has an airy, open floor plan and multiple living areas.
> The stunning living room has floor to ceiling windows, a custom gas fireplace, baby grand piano, and with lofted ceilings and views over the Bay.
> The modern dining room seats 10-12 and looks over the living room.
> There is a cozy separate den on the other side of the kitchen, with couches, TV, and a closet filled with games.
> And on the ground floor is an enormous game room, including a home theater with 8’x10’ projection screen, a game area with pool table, foosball, and air hockey, and a built-in bar… all with easy access to the lower patio for entertaining.
OUTDOOR LIVING: The house sits on more than an acre filled with mature coastal live oak trees and extensive gardens. Two patios and a wraparound balcony offer multiple ways to enjoy the Mediterranean-like climate. The lower patio, off the game room, has two levels, an outdoor kitchen with grill, dining table that seats 12, two lounge areas, a fire pit, an outdoor TV, and a hot tub. The upper patio (off the kitchen) has two tables seating 10 people surrounded by a built-in waterfall and gardens. The wraparound balcony extends from the living and dining room, with another sectional for relaxing and enjoying the spectacular Bay views.
KITCHEN: The house has a fully-stocked kitchen and large walk-in pantry. You’ll have everything you need if you want to cook, bake or simply gather over food. Full size fridge, induction range, double ovens, air fryer/toaster/convection oven, dishwasher, garbage disposal. Lots of useful appliances: stand mixer, coffee maker, espresso machine. Fully stocked with silverware, plates/cups/wine glasses, knives, serving utensils, pots, pans, baking sheets, cutting boards… if you need it, we probably have it.
VIEWS: Living, dining room, balcony, bedrooms and lower patio have sweeping views of Stanford and the San Francisco Bay. Upper patio, kitchen and den look out over vibrant garden and mountain views. Sunsets to die for.
ACTIVITIES: There are multiple hiking trails within 5 minutes walk, and tons more within a 15-20 minute drive into the neighboring hills. The surrounding hills and trails are a runner or cyclist’s dream. The house has a basketball hoop in the driveway, and a sports closet filled with basketballs, frisbees, soccer balls, street hockey net & sticks, etc. Kids and adults alike will also love the variety of puzzles and games in the den closet. In the game room, enjoy the pool table, air hockey table, or foosball table, or watch movies on our 8’x10’ projection screen.
CAR: The house comes with free access to a Mercedes E350 sedan (four doors, seats 5). Insurance covered, details discussed separately.
LOCATION: Central Los Altos Hills location: 9 mins to Palo Alto, 12 mins to Menlo Park, 8 mins to Mountain View. You will be within easy access of the mid-Peninsula and the entire Bay Area. The house is in a beautiful residential area. You can be certain of peace and tranquility during your stay. The house is not available for events, and you will be expected to abide by local noise restrictions between 10pm and 7am.
