Relax on comfy outdoor furniture and enjoy the scenic lake. BBQ your favorite meal lakeside. Eat outdoors lakeside or indoors with the same wonderful waterfront views. Hang-out on the natural beach and/or boat dock. Play in the spacious yard. Hike miles of incredible forest trails. Swim in the usually warm lake water in the summer. Kayak or canoe in the lake - enjoy complimentary use of kayaks and canoe provided. Relax and enjoy the tranquil fire pit lakeside with a bonfire, roasting marshmallows, and creating memories.
The Home:
Charming vintage style 1930's cabin/cottage nestled among a 1/2 acre woods overlooking Hart Lake. This lakefront retreat is mixed with new amenities and modern comforts yet influenced by the trending vintage vibe which will make you feel so welcome and right at home. Enjoy your morning coffee in the kitchen, living area, three season room, outdoor patio lounging chairs or outdoor Adirondack chairs. All have stunning views of the lake! Two bedroom home offers everything on one floor. Vintage pieces splashed throughout are original to the home and redone into the trending shabby chic style. Carpet and vinyl floors.
Bedrooms and living areas boast original ship-lap wooden walls and ceilings. Bedroom 1 has full-size bed and 2nd guest bedroom has two single beds. Both bedrooms equipped with retro-style dressers and area to hang clothing.
Fresh linens are provided (bedsheets, pillows, towels, washcloths). You may still bring your fav pillows if you so desire.
Unique floor plan offers sitting area and living room combo. Living room offers seating and pull-out full-size sleeper couch sofa as an extra bonus for your convenience. Bedding and comfy memory foam topper included for sofa pull-out. Adjoining sitting/reading/computer area.
Authentic retro-style white metal cabinets line the well-stocked galley kitchen. Cooking supplies and utensils included. Dining table seats four with wall of lakeside windows for perfect views of the lake and property.
Recently added over-sized and extremely powerful heat and air-conditioning system.
Three season room wraps around two sides of this cottage with ol' time rocking chairs for excellent viewing of the lake and property.
Full bath has shower, toilet and pedestal sink. Towels, paper products, and soap provided.
Exterior lakeside railed patio terrace equipped with lounging style cushion seating and recently added large heavy-duty handmade picnic table. Two outdoor BBQ grills - 1 Charcoal park grill and 1 gas grill and both are located on lakeside patio.
Included for indoor enjoyment: High-speed Internet, Wifi, basic cable, DVD players, TV's, and board games.
The Property:
This respectful property is laid out for the enjoyment of the lakefront considering there are several outdoor well-appointed areas to sit, play, relax, and enjoy the stunning views on this all-sports lake. It's set-up for a vacation! You may even catch a glimpse of wildlife including heron, hummingbirds, eagles, loons, and more. Four Adirondack chairs circle the rock fire pit situated lakeside. Stately pine and oak trees line the walk and dapple the property. 22 wood steps with railing to 100' frontage private serene natural sandy shoreline. Enjoy one of the best fishing spots on this lake (we promote catch and release) right off your own dock. Lots of bass out there!
Plus, if you love nature and enjoy walking, you're in for a special treat... because the most beautiful hiking and ORV/ATV trails in the Manistee National Forest are within walking distance of this cabin. The nearby trailhead of the Manistee National Forest has hundreds of miles of groomed trails. Opportunities to view wildlife including small game, deer, turkey, waterfowl, and other bird and critter sightings are an absolute bonus.
