Summary:
The Sunfish Lodge is a historic cabin built 100 years ago located directly on Wattsbar Lake as part of Sunfish Village. Featuring beautiful front porch, and outstanding view, we know you will enjoy staying here as much as we have. The home has a large living room with the original logs from the cabin, a fully equipped kitchen, a master bedroom and en suite on the main floor along with a half bath, and a sleeping loft upstairs with multiple beds.
The Space:
From the paved parking area with large carport, you enter the home into the eat-in kitchen. There is a half bathroom with full-size washer/dryer on your left, and then you enter the original portion of the log home, which is now the comfortable living area! There is a queen pull-out sofa and TV, with a beautiful stone fireplace (decorative only, not available for guest use). Straight out the front door is a peaceful porch with rockers and a swing overlooking the lake! Or you can turn right to enter the main floor master with queen bed, futon, en suite bathroom and walk-in closet. Up the stairs is a spacious loft with room for additional friends and family in a queen bed and two single beds!
*We hope you will enjoy our rural and rustic home in the woods as much as we do! This house is on regular pest control, but due to the age of the home, you may still encounter some insects.*

***Our home is located on a slough. There is little to no water for ramp use from mid October-May. Water levels begin rising in April and decreasing in October.***

The Neighborhood:
This is part of a quiet lakefront housing community known as Sunfish Village. The location is great for relaxing with friends and family, but we do not allow large parties out of respect for our neighbors. We know people like to have a good time. We just don't allow major parties and ask that you not have excessively loud outdoor music after 9:00 PM on the weekdays or 10:00 PM on the weekends.
Getting Around:
Lakefront community so we recommend driving.
Other Things to Note:
Though this home is cleaned after every reservation and regularly serviced by a licensed pest control company, you may encounter a few insects given the age of the home.
We require a signed rental agreement and for guest to be 25 years of age to book.
We are a pet friendly home. Pets must be crated when they are left unattended in the home. We do not allow pets on furniture or beds, and all waste must be cleaned up from the yard. All pets require a non-refundable pet fee. If there is evidence of pet hair on the furniture, excess hair in the home, stains, or waste found in the yard or home, you will be charged the cost to clean this. In the event that a security deposit is collected, we will retain all or part of the security deposit to cover any costs associated with additional cleaning due to pets.
Guests will have access to the boat ramp. However, there is not guest access for the boat dock.
Interaction with Guests:
We want to provide our guests with maximum privacy and flexibility, so we have check-in and check-out automated. We will call and touch base on the phone, and we can always have someone come and help if you need it, but otherwise, we will leave you and your friends and family to spend time together.
