We invite you to book your stay at our Lakeside Paradise to take a break from your busy life. Perfect for couples or a family get-away, our cozy place has nearly everything you need. Comfortable beds, lake view, firepit and chairs under the sky will allow you to reconnect with nature and have much-needed rest.
The cabin can accommodate up to 6 guests, and it has 2 bedrooms, 4 beds, and 1 bath. Our 2-bedroom home is equipped with almost anything you would need for a relaxing get-away. We provide bed linens, towels, and other essentials to make you feel like home. The bathroom is stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash as well.
Our kitchen is fully stocked: there are pots and pans, dishes, glasses, baking supplies, toaster, blender, and other appliances available for your usage. We made this kitchen a perfect place for our guests to make anything from a quick smoothie to a full course meal. Last but not least, there is a Nespresso machine which will help you start your day off right!
There are also books, TVs, board games available inside the house for you to use. If you would like to stay active, the lake offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy water activities including kayaking, swimming, or floating. Bring your kayaks and paddle boards and get ready to have some fun on the lake! Enjoy nature's serenity by getting comfy around a firepit. Deer sightings are not rare so enjoy that too!
Our backyard and patio are both wonderful and spacious places to spend time outdoors and gather with your loved ones. We have a firepit (firewood available at many local stores in the immediate area) with 6 chairs, a gas grill, a picnic table, and a hammock in the backyard, and there is also a dining area on the patio.
Our driveway can fit up to 6 cars, and you can also park on the edge of the front yard.
There are 2 points of access to the lake. If you exit the house and go right, there is a wooded area with access to the lake. Please stay on the RIGHT SIDE of the fence. If you exit the house and go left, when you reach the end of the road turn right, and there is a public boat launch for access.
Other things to note:
Please note that Duncan Lake boating activities are restricted to protect the summer resident population of Loon water birds. This is a no wake lake, but small boats are allowed. The boats must not create a wake or exceed 6 mph, allowing peaceful and safe enjoyment of the water.
Fishing activities on the lake are available all year round. Local wildlife seen around the area include (but not limited to) Bald Eagles, Herons, Egrets, chipmunks, squirrels, and turtles. We would also like to warn you that you may encounter potentially dangerous animals on premises. The area has had its occasional deer and black bear visits. This does not happen every day, but it is not impossible (remember, we are on their land). PLEASE DO NOT try to taunt/feed or go after wildlife.
There are multiple State Forests nearby which are perfect for hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and many other winter activities.
To ensure a safe environment, we have security cameras installed around the outside of the house.
