Positive: There is so much to say lets start with location: Loche is a stunning town, a must see for the castle and historic village atmosphere and the accomodation is literally 5 minutes from the town so you get to enjoy the country side views, peace and quiet, space and privacy and loads of room, as well as being 5 minutes from petrol stations, supermarkets, aldi , lidi and a huge super U, loads of stores and bakeries etc. The drive from town to the accomodation is simple and once you have done it once you will not feel lost. The car parking was important for us you enough space for 6 cars we had one so had the pleasure of a huge turning circle in the garden, again travelling in these small villages this is rare. Angelique the host was just a pleasure to meet, we timed our early arrival with her via whatsapp and it was perfect, she is lovely explained it all and left us to enjoy ourselves. The property is extremely and generously stocked, plentiful in every room. There are several outdoor settings for your enjoyment, we actually loved sitting upstairs looking out over the hills. The garden is large with fruit trees and BBQ if you want it. To start with downstairs there is a huge lounge room area, huge tv, toilet and laundry top loader so easy to use wonderful, the biggest shower room you have ever seen, you can open the windows for fresh air and all are centrally heated which you control throughout the house. The bedroom downstairs we used, its large, the bed from ikea is the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on we were sad to leave it, the decor is gorgeous , very well done and tasteful, loads of coat hangers and space for luggage and clothing, plenty of hot water no problems with having showers /baths anytime, iron and board, all good and excellent wifi. Once you have the keys you can access the property either up the side stairs or downstairs we chose to keep the ground floor locked and used the external stairs up to the first floor.
Negative: we loved it all. so to continue all the good things there are huge quiet effective fans in each bedroom the property does not have aircon but is really well insulated and we were very comfortable even in 28 degrees. Upstairs a large well set dining table for 6 was well used by us for planning our holiday. The tv upstairs we used all good, there were another 2 bedrooms upstairs beautifully made up we did not need and another bathroom and toilet with the bath, excellent at the end of the day. The kitchen is galley style, brand new appliances you can open the large window its terrific the photos dont do it justice, every cupboard is stocked with anything you might need, incredible coffee machine you name it! Angelique leaves you lots of practical kitchen ingredients and bit and pieces, local products and fruit. We spent a week here to explore the region, it was a very memorable stay and we thank her for creating such a place. If you are in this area and love roman ruins we found ruins of an old bridge which was not advertised along with remains of a small roman aqueduct which is mentioned online. The only thing we might say was needed is some curtains downstairs in the lounge area but seriously there is no one outside looking in anyway. The property was spotlessly clean in every way.
