Travel Purpose: business
Positive: Location is amazing, just below the mountain and surrounded by nature. The house is a long way from the road ("driveway" is maybe 500 long) so it is really quiet, mostly you can just hear the bird song. The main road is actually a macadam so cars are very rare. We took long walks straight from the house: there is a path that goes directly through the Livanjsko Polje. There's no need to stay on the path, the terrain is a bit uneven so you can walk wherever you want. The path in the opposite direction leads to the old village and the mountain - you can walk around the village ruins and climb the lower part of the mountain without a lot of effort. Perfect place to just chill and enjoy the nature. Like staying in your private little mountain lodge surrounded by birds and the trees. There were 2 of us, we stayed in the room with a double bed - comfortable, the view in the morning was amazing. We asked to pay via bank transfer (instead of cash) and got the late checkout because there was no need to meet in person. --- Pet friendly, staying with a dog: our dog had the time of her life. She is trained and has a great recall, doesn't wander off. This was important because there is NO FENCE around the property and the forrest is less than 50 m from the house - there's a LOT of wildlife everywhere, even around the house. We saw a goat herd followed by 3 big shepherd dogs pass maybe 300 m from the house (between the house and the main road). There was a house in the distance that had a big mixed breed dog. That dog was wandering on his own, came by the house, very friendly and a bit timid, played with our dog. Look for "Listansko jezero" on "Maps" if you have a water loving dog - it is great fun now when it is full of water. Again - if your dog doesn't have a perfect recall, don't risk it and keep them on the leash, the wild life is - wild.
Negative: There is free internet on the property, but the usage is limited (there is no flat-free internet) so forget streaming TV shows or watching hours of social media videos. There's a lot of place to park (it isn't designated) but there is no covered area so the car will be in the sun. The nearest store is 15 minutes by car (in Lištani) and it works only until 3pm - plan ahead before arriving.
