As you wind up the country lane you will cross the New River where you can fish or just spend time listening to the song of the river as it gently drifts by. Or perhaps you’d like to leisurely float or canoe downstream.
River Phoenix greets you with a rocking chair front porch and spacious gated wraparound porch and open deck to contain your pets while you relax. Listen closely and you will hear the babbling creek that runs beside the cabin. There is even an outdoor dining set so you can enjoy a morning coffee and breakfast on the deck.
Inside, you will find a welcoming interior all on one level. The great room features an electric fireplace, perfect for warming by on those cool Carolina Mountain evenings. A 50 inch flat-screen TV with cable and DVD is perfect for popping in a good movie and just enjoying family time together. River Phoenix offers WiFi for those that would like to stay connected while on vacation.
The kitchen offers stainless appliances and is well-equipped for our guests that wish to cook. There is an ice-maker, Gevalia coffeemaker and a dishwasher for quick clean-up.
The master bedroom features a queen bed with 40 inch flat-screen TV and if you open the windows, the sounds of the creek running by will lull you to sleep! A private bath with shower and large sink area are also available. This cabin does include central AC and heat.
There is also a shared hall bath and guest bedroom with a double bed. There is even a fold up twin cot for additional sleeping space. You’ll find a washer and dryer available.
Venture outside to enjoy the Koi fish pond, and hike Phoenix Mountain at the back of the cabin or walk to the New River. A fire pit is ready and waiting for you to fire it up for making s'mores. A charcoal grill and picnic table makes for a great place to cook out.
