Beautiful mountain village: Chalet des Oursons is situated in the pretty mountain village of Cernix where development has taken place with great care so as to preserve and enhance the natural beauty of the area which has a mixture of Alpine pastures and dense forests. The area is famed for its Beaufortain and Reblochon cheese, which is produced locally and sold from farms and in the local markets, along with sausiconns, hams, fruit and vegetables.

In winter Cernix is a ski resort whilst in summer the village is a base for walking, cycling and touring where the villages are surrounded by verdant alpine pastures, with beautiful cows and their enchanting bells adorning the landscape.
