Travel Purpose: business
Positive: The location was fine; however, our stay was marred by an epidemic of mosquitoes day and night. There was also a pungent, sewer-like smell every morning. It apparently came from the local factory which is apparently a paper mill. None of these criticisms can be blamed on the host! The pool and its immediate surrounds were lovely.
Negative: The house and its surrounds with the exception of the pool area were shabby and badly needed tidying up and a lick of paint would certainly have helped. The front gate did not close properly, which did not give a good impression on arrival. The interior of the house was in need of a deep clean throughout. Although well equipped, many of the kitchen utensils were either very old and some of the drawers contained items that were filthy dirty. The double bed upstairs was unusable and the floors throughout were in need of a proper wash/dry as they were gritty underfoot. The rain shower in the bathroom upstairs did not work.
Summary: Although we did enjoy our stay, it could have been so much better!
